Cut in off the wing, get a 45 degree angle just wide of the top corner with a bit bend off the joystick - unstoppable. Build your team up from some fast paced unknown Europeans and Brazilians - you’d have a team to take on anybody.. great days 🤣👍 Sensible World of Soccer took it to a whole new level Mixu was Mika-Mati and had a shot like a cannon, as did Dave Savage at Millwall Steve Froggatt was like a whippet down the wing but always injured if he got tackled In halls at uni we had one guy with an Amiga and we would play it for ages. He hated us as we'd want to play it for ages and he'd want to go to bed To the point where he went for a piss and we locked the door so he couldn't get in stayed playing it till 6am whilst he was locked out of his own room 😀 Quote

Exactly the same, guy with an Amiga, not ironic at all to call him very sensible, he’d start telling us he needed to go to sleep and we’d try every trick in the book to keep playing into the early hours! Very naughty, on one occasion, he hadn’t locked his room door, when he went home for the weekend. We spent the whole weekend in his room! 🤣 Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 16 Posted April 16 SWOS 96/97 on the PC for me. Would always have Bangor City winning the Champions League within 6 years. And then Championship Manager 3 came out….. Quote
Zico Posted April 16 Posted April 16 SWOS Tony Daley was rapid so just stick him up front Scoring from kick off on an icy pitch was always the challenge Quote
Zico Posted April 16 Posted April 16 All English semi in the Europa Whether forest or villa win they should be favourites with Braga or Freiburg in the other semi Palace favourites for the conference League as well Quote

To the point it came down to milliseconds If one got the advantage the other was determined to beat it To the point that one missed one of his final exams trying to beat the other He missed out on both Quote

Just not the big one. Quote

As you say, the Arsenal-Atletico Madrid war of attrition could go either way. Can't see who ever progresses beating the winners of the other tie. I would be delighted if Bayern won it. For Harry Kane. Quote
auckland_bwfc Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Hope Coventry go up tonight, didn't realise they went down to as low as L2 just 10 years back. Although he denied Nolan 20 Engalnd caps back int day.i quite like Frank. Quote
Eddie Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Cov look shite! Based on this half, and drawing at home to Wednesday last weekend - looks very much like the pressure is getting to them. Good job they’ve got such a lead because they’ll go up regardless of nerves Quote

To be honest, I was just surprised at how poor that half was, they looked lost. Blackburn were all over them to be fair, not sure how long they’ll be able to keep that up. That lad on loan from Arsenal on the right is a handful! Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) I hadn't realised they hadn't been promoted to the top flight since Jimmy Hill was manager, 1967. So give or take a few, none of the Coventry fans there tonight have seen it happen before. Blackburn the best away ground to go to for promotion, being the biggest away end in the country, what would we give to need a point at Ewood to go up, and to actually do it a few minutes from the end. A memory that might not be beaten for their fans (I know one that was there, lives in Worsley, known him 6 months and only found out he was a football fan never mind Cov fan last night!) We could have played at any number of grounds in the 70s and taken 15k or whatever, because it was easy to get into home ends, we've all done it on occasion. Not so easy now, I didn't notice any Coventry fans in the Blackburn end despite how big the game was for them, you can't just walk upto the turnstile and pay to get in, with memberships etc. PS 23k? Is that an estimate? Only 5k Blackburn then, I wasn't there so I've no idea. Quote
