gonzo Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Telling line from Whelan: "He got them fit" Just missing "inserted defensive midfielder" Quote
no balls Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Couldn't give a shit about Wigan. Wouldn't bother me if they beat arsenal in the slightest. Good for the game A quick geography lesson: How do you feel about the possibilty of Blackpool going down? Quote
GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 John Salako still blagging a wage then? Utter tosser, always was, always will be. Quote
tomski Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Made Wembley 3 times in a year, maybe will be 4, shows anyone can if they can. Same with the other boring semi. 4th time maybe 5 I think Quote
Exiled Girl Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) 7th in the PL won't get a European place now will it? Edited March 9, 2014 by Exiled Girl Quote
Didledee Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 4th time maybe 5 I think Oh forgot about the semi also from last season, shouldn't beat Arsenal, but loads said they wouldn't beat City and they have, twice. Quote
tomski Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Oh forgot about the semi also from last season, shouldn't beat Arsenal, but loads said they wouldn't beat City and they have, twice. They looked fairly comfortable as well. As much as I dislike Wigan its the beauty of the cup and all that. Quote
gonzo Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 A quick geography lesson: How do you feel about the possibilty of Blackpool going down? Wonderfully aroused. What's your point? Haha Quote
MalcolmW Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 7th in the PL won't get a European place now will it? If Arsenal win the FA Cup and fail to secure a Champions' League place but finish fifth or sixth in the league then seventh will qualify for the Europa. They looked fairly comfortable as well. As much as I dislike Wigan its the beauty of the cup and all that. What about a final with 2 of Whelan's managers? Quote

bgoefc Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) If Wigan make the play-offs, after a cup run and the Europa League then anyone ever complaining about players being tired can just fuck off. Agree with this. They look like a very strong and talented team who will no doubt reach the play offs and on this form blow away the likes of Derby and QPR. Hats off, they have been well run and managed ( Coyle withstanding) for a a long number of years. It would be interesting to compare their transfer fees ( and wages) in and out over the last 7 years with ours. Edited March 9, 2014 by bgoefc Quote
MalcolmW Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Any history of father and son having managed in a cup final? I don't think so. But 2 of Sheffield United's winning team in 1925 were sons of members of the same club's winning team in 1902. Quote

Doesn't seem to be doing them any harm. Quote

Have heard players say they like midweek games as its less training. Quote
Zico Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It was their only hope of a cup when they played Birmingham in the League Cup final... They were still in the fa cup and cl at the time Can't see it Wigan sheff u final would be most amusing mind Quote
bwfc2003 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Do away fans at Oldham now have chaddy end or has the camera position altered ? Quote
Marc505 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I think the camera has swapped sides, I remember there being that big gap in the centre of the away stand from last season when Oldham smashed the gate down in front of it and tried to attack Chesterfields fans as they celebrated getting to Wembley! Marc505 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I was an eye-witness, Oldham spent all game singing stuff like "your firm is fucking shit", "youre going to get your fucking heads kicked in" and "we're Oldham Athletic, we'll see you outside", whilst holding up a big Fine Young Casuals flag, then threw fireworks at the away fans on the car park as they were leaving. You don't see all that every day! Tuesday nights watching JPT Area Finals, clearly had very little else to do with my time! Just realised it was actually the season before last as well, that has gone quick. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Do away fans at Oldham now have chaddy end or has the camera position altered ?Camera has swapped sides until they eventually build the new stand opposite the main stand. Quote
