Chesterfield fans having to get to Preston for 12:15 on Sunday.

How nice.

It's only 80 miles, though, but I fully get your point.

Could be worse...

Preston away would be shit with nu-fans who haven't been before taking up a load of the tickets, & Preston at home  would be shit with their fans treating it like a cup final & Bolton not being that bothered. Fuck Preston.

Swindon is a dreary little town ( another Yeovil ) , the highlight of which is a roundabout.

Sheff United is a good away day but with already having games at Wednesday & Rotherham, it's not adding much variety to the season's trips.

Chesterfield is a new ground , an easy train trip & a nice town though the locals can be a bit aggressive.

Come on Chesterfield.

It has to be the gayest derby in football.

There's more aggro in my underpants.

I get why they consider it a derby

but geographically speaking, it's like calling Leeds, Sheffied Weds or Stoke our derby

They would be our derbies if there was nothing but turnips, scarecrows and drainage ditches between Bolton and those places.

John Carver reckons he's the best coach in English football.

He also reckons he's the king of Germany and there's a giant bunny rabbit swigging moonshine sat on the end of his bed.

I seem to remember some Chesterfield lads coming to Munich with us

I'm sure they said they've done a few Bwfc matches

It's a no from me. Boro have the better chance and infrastructure to stay up as we did in 2001. Brentford would be straight back down. If we are to ever re-establish ourselves in the prem we need as little opposition as possible when we get there!

Yes, but isn't it better to have the weaker team against us next season & worry about the prem when/if we get back there ?
