Not sure my opinion has changed much since first viewing (will watch again tonight)

Taylor was crucified. Wouldn’t happen now for many reasons. That team in 92/93/94 was bobbins. We were screwed over in Holland.

Phil Neal will never sound good on it. Probably ko’d his career.

Oddly as Bolton manager I think time has been harsh on him as he actually set the foundations.

I watched An Impossible Job on Channel 4 last night.  The first time I've seen it since it was aired the first time.

A couple of things I picked up on

1.  Graham Taylor really did seem like a really nice bloke.  Possibly not up to international manager standards, but a thoroughly decent bloke.

2. Phil Neal came across just as badly as he did the first time.

Said it to you earlier on twitter but it seemed quite tame compared with some of the warts and all docs we've seen since, but didn't really focus too much on just how bad the media were with him.

One thing that's really striking is how rough and ready everything still was at that point, the facilities and kits and even trivial things like the basic signs on doors for the teams etc. When you think it was only 3 years away from the huge hype of Euro 96 and then the massively commercialised and celebrity years that followed, it feels very quaint.

The team was worse than I remember

Walker was a changed player after Serie A

Gazza never recovered from the Gary Charles tackle

Carlton Palmer

Barnes finished by then.

Lee Dixon was a terror of a player. The right winger at Arsenal was the original gegenpresser

Football was so much better despite all this.

@Rudy

I just found out that Dee and Mac from Always Sunny are married in real life

Did you know this?

Yeah. She’s pregnant in one of the seasons and it’s theirs

They got sued by the original Dee who Mac binned off after he met the Dee who’s on now and cast after the pilot with original Dee

Doing a passable impression of being top owners 👍

Aye, though i read they only attended their first game this week at Maidenhead away

Probably a fleeting visit but they seem like decent guys

Shame Parky has them in the bottom half of the conference

I'll say it again, Succession, Succession and for a third time Succession.

The best thing on TV by an absolute mile. This week's episode is so good, it's essentially a one room, four hander study of tension, sibling rivialy, family conflict and black humour.

Lucy Prebble is a genius.

Also, Will Ferrell is a executive producer.

It's funny, dark, so well written, cast and acted. I hope when it's over it'll be mentioned in the same breath as the iconic TV series of the past decade.

24 hours in police custody is making me feel sick tonight. How anyone could hurt a child yet alone their own.

I’d have dragged him across the table and knocked fuck out of him.
