Article also mentions Adama Traore. Had no idea he was at Hull. This happened to me too watching some highlights recently Had to check It's a different Adama Traore The one we were thinking of is at Fulham

That's how they operate. We'd get about £2m.
ianofcleveleys
The Alex Scott move to Bournemouth set a new bar for EFL clubs for me, if £25m for a promising lad from a mid table Championship club is fair game, no reason why L1 clubs should be settling for £1m or £2m. The standard and level of players at our level has improved markedly even since we last went up under Parky. Lads like Charles and Toal have played full international football (yes, I know, for NI), Sheehan getting involved a bit with Wales. Don't blame Posh, we should play similar hardball, we have good assets.
Moderators Casino Posted January 5 Moderators Share Posted January 5 see, i dont buy this 'we give players away' fwiw, i'm always sad when players i like leave, but be honest, we always think we havent got what they are worth and generally they dont go on to be superstars also peterbrough got 2 million for the current top scorer in division 2 second top scorer moved to his club for a million

Holding, Alan Thompson, Eidur Gudjohnson, McAteer, Brian Borrows, all went to the top division and became regulars. Mostly we had to sell because of finances which makes it harder to get top money but we have a terrible record of negotiating.

That meant we got money we would not have 6 months later. Cahill, seriously, who could blame him ?

ianofcleveleys
While we might have had some instances down the years where we've arguably been had over, as has been said some of it was down to the individual circumstances and timing. I'm not sure that our current owners would crumple in a heap if tested but we'll no doubt find out over the next few weeks
