In fairness, he did well when he came back in last season.

Signed by Todd/McFarland for our 1st season in Prem wasn't he?  I always assumed he moved back to Scotland after failing here, but he then played for Fulham, Bradford and Cambridge.  Only played 103 games in his career.  According to Wiki the £900k we paid Raith is still the biggest fee they've ever received.  Even now that would be massive for a club of their size.  Wierd signing.

If we'd sold him after 1 game he would have been worth £100m.

Make of that what you will....

They haven't come up against Sharon yet.

Put a depth chart together based on the current squad and rumours I've seen floating around.

Left John in as I've not actually heard any rumours of him going this summer other than fan assumption after the fall out in the season. Moved MJ back as CB cover seeing as that's his most likely path to being on the field with the way the squad is being constructed, and I've not bothered trying to shoehorn in further depth with the likes of Jerome, Sadlier or B team lads.

Thomason still in there as well but can definitely see him getting a League 2 loan as he won't get enough chances for game time with the moves we're looking to make with the midfield.

Could be the Jamaican first 11 that

Looks very solid on paper. Bodvarsson/Nlundulu doing the link up play more so. While Charles and Victor share the pressing and running in behind role. Jerome as emergency backup.

Agree, loan out Thomason and perhaps a Premier League loanee to be our attacking midfielder.

Not sure what Baccus is best at. Maybe he’s an all rounder like Dempsey and so would be competing for that box to box role with him.

Think Morley and Sheehan are competing for the deeper playmaking role. Impression I get is Flick would be one to give us more physicality in the middle when the time is right.

Wingbacks and Centrebacks looks all sorted if Wilson gets done.

How many Jamaicans called Bodvarsson do you know?

We can all be a Jamaican footballer. Just use your own surname as first name and the last service station you visited as surname.

This John Williams at RB/RWB. Is he any cop ?

I think I'd say I see the Flick move the other way around, it would give us a true deep lying pivot and allow us to use Morley in a role as one of the further forward midfielders and influence the game more in forward areas, which as we all know he's capable of doing.

Baccus I have seen listed as a defensive midfielder but then every highlight and clip I've seen of him he's much further forward than that, linking play and created chances around the area, I'd see him as the more advanced of a pair ahead of a deeper #6 and Dempsey's role as the box-to-box.

Fair, but Baxter Coleman does sound like the most Jamaican keeper I've ever heard of.

Good work.  Only change I'd expect is Iredale to play at least as many games at LWB as John or Williams.  Agreed he can stand in for Johnstone when required but if that was his only role he might not start a league game for 6 months because GJ is one of the 1st names on the teamsheet, and Iredale will play fairly regularly somewhere I'm sure.

Their best player all season.

I wonder if the Wilson deal stalled because of the player's personal terms or because of the fee? My suspicion is the former. The fact he was allowed to speak to us tends to the theory that a fee had been agreed.

Whether discussions continue will probably depend as much as anything on whether we have other RWB options.

I read before that it was the structure of the add ons they weren’t happy with and the player etc still want the deal to happen. Can’t remember if it was Iles or May have been in the Bristol Post
