We weren't overly impressed when we went. It's probably ok if you're having a drink before or after your meal though.

If you're going to Lucianos, they have a bar area with a pianist, which is nice.

And a scooter. A Vespa, which isn't the same as a Lambretta but it looks nice.????

La Roma is a good place for a nice meal

Go La Roma a lot, great place, have you ever been to one of their wine tasting nights? Seven courses of food to match the wines, think it was about 35 quid all in. Really decent stuff to taste as well. Last one they had I had to virtually carry the Mrs home, as the wine flows VERY freely.

Went casalingo last week absolutely superb and reasonably priced

We probably went too often

Menu meant I ended up having the black pudding starter and then one of 3 mains

2 courses meant we were doing a ton in an hour - used to go in its former guise about 30 years ago, it was walk in at 8 and leave at midnight...i miss that tbh, though you did pay about the same as it is now. Definitely a twice a year treat

Not been for a few months now, so will try and sneak in

San Marino is a good do, but a bit of a trek for you

They had plenty of blackboards up with various specials knocking about

going back up between Xmas & new year few quid in taxi and can walk to rose for a few after

Went to The Rivington (nee Il Toro) last night. Very good and passes the two essentials for Bolton; decent fodder and plenty of it.

Also enjoyed a nice bottle of red, not on the wine list, probably stuff from Il Toro.

Generally a bit cheaper than competitors.

Still meaning to try it

Just googled it that’s a hidden place and looks decent👍

You never been?

Changed hands a few times I think over recent years but supposed to be decent.

Quite like calling in if I've been out on a walk around the hills and lakes beyond.
