The companies involved have robust plans in place for whatever the outcome. Regulations are so strict, in terms of licensing, supply chain, etc, that they are geared up for whatever happens As an aside, and you can link it to the whole debate if you want to, but some blood pressure medications have just been withdrawn due to ingredients manufactured in China. Also some woundcare dressings, manufactured in India, as a cheap replacement for a UK product, were found to be substandard, and withdrawn. From my discussions from those ITK and involved it raises a couple of points Holy shit - we leave the EU and have to rely on substandard products manufactured in countries on the outside and people's health/wellbeing suffers Companies looked outside the EU due to "additional costs" associated with being in the EU Now, I'm no expert in the area of product sourcing in the healthcare industry, however, those that I work with that do that work in that area, see Brexit as an opportunity to push forward "British" standards and free themselves from the shackles of the EU I shall refrain from donning my British Bulldog waistcoat, and espousing the quality of the British manufacturing industry..............however, if you want quality, look no further than this country.....but you have to pay for it Quality is one thing and trade is another. It's why I always find Spider's musings on this thread extremely interesting Anyway. Enough of the boring shit. And that goes across the spectrum. You should see some of the shite my lefty acquaintances consider 'thought provoking'... However the quote criticising it has no source with it. I therefore had a brief visit to the website, and there's no doubt that there's some concern expressed over Islamic issues. It also discusses the EU. Seems much of it is approached from a legal standpoint, and is reasonable in its language.

It's not even necessarily making up news or presenting fake facts - it's the skewing or selective presentation. The quote wasn't 'criticising' the aforementioned 'think-tank' (a phrase that in itself should always mean 'buyer beware' in my opinion) - it was merely pointing out its agendas, people behind it etc. It was from Wikipedia - which contrary to popular opinion isn't particularly biased and isn't prone to error - errors or vandalism are usually quickly remedied. It's a relatively reliable source. Anyone can contribute, true, but if say someone vandalised or added biased and/or unsupported information to an article, even about a twat like Tommy Robinson, one of the tens of thousands of anal editors would quickly correct/amend/delete this. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 6, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted January 6, 2019 That's fair enough- though did wiki show the factual errors and correct them? Sadly, this whole shit show has gone so toxic, that it's almost impossible to fully trust anything. There are loads of links throughout this thread on one view or another, and I've sometimes read them, but most I just glaze over and think fuck it I can't be arsed. Youri McAnespie
On wiki one can search the entire 'history' of an article, so for example if some tinker once edited and wrote Sam Allardyce's middle name was Fathead then it'll be in the searchable Wikipedia history of the article on Sam Fathead Allardyce. Regarding the links posted on here I very rarely read them at all, left or right leaning, I will, however, research the source/background/bias of unfamiliar ones.
