It’s actually been ongoing since 2015. It’s taken them this long to reach agreement and if it’s ratified at the end of this month (by an expected narrow margin) it won’t be implemented for another two years. That’s EU bureaucracy for you. I doubt it’ll make much difference but it makes a nice headline.

Whereas the Rwanda scheme was up and running efficiently within a couple of weeks. 💪

Poland and Hungary have said fuck off.

Refusing to accept migrants from other EU nations. Good old Donald Tusk.

Best you can do? Around 2 years against approaching 9.

One subject to ECHR ruling the others not even got that far. Yet.

But following its climate ruling what will the eu do should similar rulings be made against its members?

Could get messy.

And who knows, now that some members have said they won't uphold certain parts of this new agreement, how long will it last?

An intransigent traitor.

Brexit is just one benefit after another.

I just can’t be bothered naming them or I’d be here all week

Brexit positive #1

We’ll be in charge of our own borders.

Psst! France, here’s £500mill to help us to protect our borders from black and brown folk in boats.

Yes but you will get over being on the losing side eventually.

I’m on the winning side and can categorically tell you it’s shit

We are all losing mate. Regardless of what you voted for.

Nobody voted to give ol' butter fingers half a billy.

She certainly is both. Investigation into the origins of the word and its meaning might engender a greater understanding. French and Italian speakers won't need to.

Might have had some sympathy until he mentioned that the pound 25% down to the euro because of Brexit. Clearly a FPBE type.

that's clearly bollocks, but the rest of his points are reasonably valid though no?

as a whole/collective though, we as a nation, are currently worse off- that may or may not last, but we're certainly not anywhere near being better off yet, that will change, but it looks/feels a long way off to those who are having to battle on a daily/weekly basis with import/export issues that were not there a few years ago

I dont know if they’re valid..his assertion he’s 25% down on exchange leaves me to doubt anything he’s said.

Anyhow I’d prefer we made our own frozen food products rather than import goods from Europe, hopefully some company here in the UK is benefitting and the jobs are created here in the uk… that’s what its all about for me.

Speaking about imported food I went to Tesco today and had the opportunity to buy strawberries from Spain or UK can you guess which I bought? I’ll give you a clue. 🇬🇧
