Article is almost a year old, doesn't mention poll size. Maybe the same folk who've made a great job of predicting votes in the past.

Nor does it mention anything about how many people were scared by government predictions of absolute economic disaster.

Leave made a better job of marketing their goals.

Still the same moans.

Jesus - sorry to hear that Spider.

Still - you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs and that.

And I think we can all agree on what a delicious omelette it's shaping up to be.

I know 2 of them and they're top folk. The company would love to have relocated them within the business but the sheer drop in revenue means it's just not possible.

This is not histrionics, it's a fact. People are losing their livelihoods.

As positively-minded people, they've immediately begun to look for work, but for every similar job to the one they had that's going spare, there are now suddenly a dozen more candidates.

Businesses fail all the time, I get that, but I'm citing an example of jobs being lost directly because of Brexit. With no positive swing to be found for them.

More to the point it was 2 years after the referendum which shows how indelible it was on voters minds.

Regarding poll size you could argue that about pretty much every poll taken but it wouldn't have been used if it wasn't sufficiently robust. You might dismiss it but it remains very relevant.

Update from the coalface

Saw an email today that went to several UK exporters to Eire.

They've basically been told all orders have been pulled and none will be placed until 2020 at the earliest. The Irish have now sourced direct from the EU as they simply cannot afford to wait for us to get our shit together.

I also know 5 people (and there will be more to come) that have been given their notices today as a DIRECT result of Brexit.

On the plus side, some French, Dutch and German guys have had some whopping orders today.

I'm

Just

Sad news mate😞

£350m a week to the NHS is a lie and even Farage admits it so when Cummings was encouraging members of the Vote Leave campaign to focus on that and the other lies he thought up he knew he was telling porkies

I see you're up to your old tricks again. Selectivism and airbrushing certain inconvenient parts of history. So - for the umpteenth time on here I shall remind you of what we now absolutely know are lies from the mouth of George Osborne and others as part of Project Fear. The very same Project Fear that continues to this day to peddle doom and gloom - the tune to which you wave your shroud on a daily basis. Remoan! Remoan!

A vote to leave alone (not even actually leaving) would among other dire predictions:

* cause an immediate and profound economic shock that would lead to four quarters of negative growth and, therefore a recession. LIE

* lead to unemployment increasing by about 500,000 in the wake of a Brexit vote. LIE.

* would every family £4,300 worse off. LIE

* would lead to the necessity for an emergency budget LIE

How about Nick Clegg: "The idea of an EU army is a dangerous fantasy" - LIE

How about all of these characters who fervently wanted us to join the Euro? Tony Blair, Peter Mandelson, Ken Clarke, Nick Clegg, Chris Patten You know ... the Euro, the flagship of EU over-centralisation and federalism and totemic for every other project they have implemented or have in mind. Yes, that huge success story.

Then going right back to the early 1990s the same characters wanted us to join the Exchange Rate Mechanism. We did. It was another disaster.

People with your EU rose tinted spectacle view of the world are a busted flush. We've seen through decades of your lies and bullshit. The leave campaign smells of roses compared to your abysmal track record. You and your ilk are a one trick pony. Lie through your back teeth and try to frighten people in to line. Nobody's listening any more. You're talking to yourselves in your echo chamber.

In short - a bunch of proven liars with a horrific track record of getting it wrong. Get your coat and leave the building.

Does it bollocks.

The last post of this nature when a poll was referred to had a sample size of just over 2000 people. Fucking massive. Also shows media will run stories on very little.

Open to huge mathematical errors.

Hi Paul

I know 5 people who are currently looking for work if you can help? You seem to have all the answers and they are rather desperate.

Thanks in advance.

Any response to people losing their jobs because of Brexit?

They've not lost them due to Brexit, they've lost them because of Gina Miller et al faffing about. Keep up.

We should've have left, no deal, the day after the referendum.

And told them to stick their divorce bill up their gallic (and kraut) arses.

It’s sad when anyone loses their job, but let’s not forget the number of folk who lost their jobs because of us joining the EU, such as thousands and thousands of our fishermen. It works both ways.
