So if someone was not happy with status quo, living a economically deprived area with shit prospects surely they should vote Leave by your logic ? Look at the results that is what happened. Because then of the type of areas these people are described as thick. Millions of people who normally do not vote did.

Can't disagree with that. Brexit was the ultimate protest vote by a disillusioned populace. It's just unfortunate that, as it stands, it looks to have been far from a wholly positive decision. I may be wrong, but it hasn't been the most comfortable three years for, well, anyone.

Oh, and Moonboy, your implication of electoral fraud in Bolton is exactly the kind of unfounded nonsense that inspired the Leave vote. Perhaps you should move into political PR?

in all fairness, those same polls showed Remain winning last time.......I actually think Remain would win quite comfortably if there was another vote, not that I think there will be one.

Although if the polls went far enough to "Remain" then Boris would be doing another of his U-turns and campaign to stay, of that I've no doubt

That is a myth by the way. The polls were mixed. People assumed remain would win with close polls since usually the staus quo prevails in those scenarios ultimately as support for it is often slightly underestimated by pollsters. But this wasn't the case.

There were at the time polls showing leave would win.

And I believe analysis since last year shows a consistency towards remains in polls never seen in the actual run up to the referendum. That doesn't mean much of course - the arguments change when a referendum is actually happening and so potentially do opinions.

well Cummings thinks the same way as me

Pundits and MPs kept saying ‘why isn’t Leave arguing about the economy and living standards’. They did not realise that for millions of people, £350m/NHS was about the economy and living standards – that’s why it was so effective. It was clearly the most effective argument not only with the crucial swing fifth but with almost every demographic. Even with UKIP voters it was level-pegging with immigration. Would we have won without immigration? No. Would we have won without £350m/NHS? All our research and the close result strongly suggests No. Would we have won by spending our time talking about trade and the Single Market? No way.

Did he admit to lies? Doesn’t seem to say so in your referenced quotation

£350m a week to the NHS is a lie and even Farage admits it so when Cummings was encouraging members of the Vote Leave campaign to focus on that and the other lies he thought up he knew he was telling porkies

Had the remain campaign had a bus slogan that worked out the predicted difference between remain and leave in GDP (now an actual difference) and said we can spend that money on the NHS people would have been apoplectic. Sadly it would have been way more accurate than the Brexit £350M.

Of course it was. And it was completely and utterly debunked well before the vote.

Admitted readily by Farage.

Still clinging to the same moans.

Nearly half the british public still believe it was true so it wasn't debunked

Update from the coalface

Saw an email today that went to several UK exporters to Eire.

They've basically been told all orders have been pulled and none will be placed until 2020 at the earliest. The Irish have now sourced direct from the EU as they simply cannot afford to wait for us to get our shit together.

I also know 5 people (and there will be more to come) that have been given their notices today as a DIRECT result of Brexit.

On the plus side, some French, Dutch and German guys have had some whopping orders today.

I'm

Just

Saying

Jesus - sorry to hear that Spider.

Still - you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs and that.

And I think we can all agree on what a delicious omelette it's shaping up to be.

No matter which side of the fence you’re on, this is absolutely fucking disgusting behaviour

Anyone arguing against this seriously wants their tiny minds examining.

Twats obviously. But sounded like they were from somewhere in North America to me?
