I remember something along those lines, they put battered cod, haddock and pollock in a taste test and most couldn't taste a difference especially when covered in salt and vinegar. Of those that could cod came last I think.

New passports have arrived, look more of a black than a blue. Disgrace.

if there was another ref I’d be voting remain because of this

I expect nobody told you it was made in France, which would be against everything you ever believed in?

That's right- battered different fish and got some Scottish folk to taste test them.

Going to look for something fresh and different whilst North of the border.

In reality, I bet there would be enough dimwits who would vote remain based on that to swing the result back the other way 😀

Anyway I was, prior to people bleating on about them, sure they were always black before anyway to be honest, I never realised they were blue

A variety of connotations, so I'll go for the razor shell: any good?

Spoots or razor clams. Get them down on the beach near me lovely if prepared correctly

Now here we really are going to agree.

Razorshells grilled with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon are truly sent from the heavens.

A worrying trend mon ami. Just stop it.

Steamed is the way I've had them. As Spider says, delicious and tender if done right. Would imagine very easy to create an unappetising similarity to a broken rubber band if not careful.

How are they best cooked?

Steamed, boiled or in the frying pan with some butter?

Make sure you watch a video on YouTube how to prepare them. Or you will be put off for life mate. You don’t eat the whole thing! And I’m not talking about the shell

Do they have an extendy type breathing tube or massive cock or some such?

They are often known to have a fistmaster inserted in them pal.

Iain Duncan Smith last year. Voted for the Withdrawal Agreement. Declared it "oven-ready". Voted to reduce Parliamentary Scrutiny of the Withdrawal Agreement. The Parliamentary party booted out anyone who wanted more time to read it.

Iain Duncan Smith 2 days ago - "The Withdrawal Agreement we signed last year sadly helps the EU.....Buried in the fineprint, unnoticed by many, is the fact we remain hooked into the EU's loan book......It costs too much & it denies us true national independence....This Withdrawal Agreement giving the EU future control over us has to go."
