Leyther_Matt
Wigan are charging £30 when we go there, the days of them giving tickets away to away fans are long gone. Which is exactly the same price as we charge for the lower tier if they sell enough to justify opening it. Just another excuse for people to knock KA when in reality I bet the police Bill is eye watering thanks to years of their fucktards acting up. birch-chorley
£35 notes for Bolton v Wigan is a bag of shit no matter how you try to dress it up £35 for Wigan v Bolton would be an equal bag of shit I appreciate the whole cheap tickets bit has been done to death but I honestly think that this fixture would generate more cash sales if it was moderately priced (£25 say) Then again, on recent showings, the less people there to witness it the better, could well be another defeat the way we are playing
Moderators Zico Posted November 8, 2018 Moderators Share Posted November 8, 2018 Does that mean its £35 in our end as well? Be interesting to see how many Wigan bring as they are the only hope for a decent crowd

Without the premier leagues mega bucks TV deal the extra cost falls on the supporters.
birch-chorley
I get it with Leeds etc Wigan though? I think we will end up with less in the bank than if it was say £25 and a couple thousand more turned up, only my opinion of course

These ticket prices have ensured I won’t be going to a match I would’ve put down as a certain before the season starts. For 2 of us including fuel, food etc will be around £90 to £100 which considering the dross served up at the moment is nowhere near worth it. Tickets priced around £20 to £25 and I’d of been in. After that it was playing footie on Saturday afternoon rather than Saturday morning but I did get to most games that weren't played on a Saturday. I expect I would have remembered the banner if I'd seen it but as I don't remember it I probably didn't see it. Is it a hanging offence? You left school in 1963? fuck me, no wonder you seem confused Sha-la-la-la-Franny Lee - was sung to the chorus of Sha -La--La-La- Lee by the Small Faces, which went " Sha- la- - la- la- sha- la - lee" . I was 6 years old + i remember the chant from the Lever End. Where the fcuk did Amarillo come from? If it helps jog your memory, heres the song PS - Gordon "Tiger" Taylor was from Ashton-Under-Lyne. The £35 is the upper tier price - it’s £30 in NSL and what’s an extra fiver if you were prepared to pay £25?

Think it was first world war ditty or maybe just a political song No reason at all that it should be adapted for a footy song but it was It started slow & just was sung faster & faster I never really got it but heyho sung it anyway . Dont know if other clubs fans sung it never heard it at away games. According to wiki it was a drinking song sung to the tune of onward christian soldiers & was sung by world war one troops.A folk song would you believe . Happy to be proved wrong Lennon had just been appointed manager when we last played Latics at home in the league in November 2014. £25 lower, £28 upper. EDIT - top price we charged in 2015/16 was £33 so I’m guessing £28ish for lower. Edited November 8, 2018 by Leyther_Matt

But the Twitter hordes weren’t quite as active back then. neither was the ability to watch every game online back then, you could get a stream for a championship game if it was on sky, or being shown somewhere in Europe on a Saturday, though you'd only find out a day or two before now, you can watch every game via ifollow, red button and iptv with that in mind, he is probably right to stick with his current pricing strategy and squeeze every last penny out of those who want to go, fuck the rest of them
