Likely to be a player sale in January (Vela, Beevers, Olkowski) to see us through the season.

Only 1 of them goes for reasonable money, 2 out of contract in summer. I hope Politic comes back from Manchester a star and we flog him for £5m

Don't know but every little helps.

If we sell Amoebi we are as good as down.

Aye

With Eddie gone, the ice is thin

Maybe the mistrust and their high net worths are poised...

Aye, with Mr Davies in the background , I always thought we would be safe, so i'm hoping that Mr Anderson is bright enough not to push his brinkmanship luck too far now.

....but the cook would be at the back of any payment's queue !!!

Can there be no middle ground? Surely it's not as simple as Ken or trust?

in his own words isn't he negotiating with others?

When I attended the shareholders AGM a few months ago the formal business was over in no time at all. No verbal reports, no explanation of the accounts or the financial position, just a series of resolutions all agreed nem con. It seemed for a moment that was it and that the shareholders had traipsed along, some from quite a distance,  for nothing. After a bit of a pregnant pause, Ken agreed to do a Q&A but no telling questions were raised and everyone departed not a lot wiser.

It seemed to me curious at the time. It still does.

Have you ever been to any other company AGMs?

No, but I seem to have agitated the elder brethren of the Gordon Taylor fan club. Didn't know he had a fan club tbh but each to their own. Would you like some more thoughts on Ken? Can't promise they won't be boring, mind you.

Why don't you crawl back under the rock from whence you came.

You're lack of knowledge about Burnden in the 60's whilst claiming to have been there speaks volumes. Boring fraud.

Isn’t Heathcoat’s contract up in January?

If that contract really is plundering us for a fortune then we won’t need to sell anybody  as we will be rolling in dough cone the new year

the pessimist in me thinks we won’t be that much better off when it’s all washed up, certainly not enough to make a significant difference to the budget

Overheard someone saying the yank business man got fed up and has ducked out

Go on I'll play. How is he screwing the club?

You're as bad the imbeciles on the terraces.

Some of our fans really are fuckwits.

Did he not have the perfect opportunity to put it in admin a couple of months back?

If the accounts for last year are submitted on time in January, it will all become clear.

Surely ken's done just the opposite and kept us out of administration.

Aye and a few times over to boot.

What benefit Sweaty Ken would get from admin is something never explained.

I think the suggestion is he'll keep the club going as long as he can to keep taking the consultancy fees

Till investment or admin, whichever comes next

It's as much (if not solely) ED and that other fan that have kept us from admin so far

Nixon said exactly that a month back.

Some of the responses on here including yours I'm afraid deserve the same merit? If you can't see anything up then I want some of what your drinking?

Go on, tell the class

No idea if this has been mentioned recently .

I am staying  at the hotel and have been for over three weeks now . Wife attempted to charge s drinks yesterday to the room after the match . She was told due to an ongoing dispute between bwfc and heathcoates they would only accept cash .

my wife told them that we had been doing the same for all the period we had stayed and they agreed to honour charging to the room.

Its like fucking ground hog day .

As a positive though we have had to extend our stay on a weekly basis and have ‘struggled’ due to the hotel being so busy. So at least on the face of one area is flourishing

If you mean private companies, yes loads. I've chaired a few and explained the finances at quite a few more. But it was the first time I'd attended a Burnden Leisure AGM. There hadn't been one for years so it seemed odd to me that Ken should call a meeting, when one wasn't required, unless he wanted to make some point or other.

But it also seemed odd that none of the shareholders raised the issue, in the Q&A, of the  525K consultancy fee in the context in which it was paid or how the company was going to be able to manage its liabilities with loans that were overdue and trade creditors more than doubled at 4.8million pounds. The sale of Madine was a huge unexpected bonus but enough to cover expected losses and overdue creditors?

The new guy on the ST board said it seemed like a case of 'spinning plates'. I think he was right.

Why didn't YOU raise it?
