Where abouts in france?

my mates live in Toulouse and its been pretty strict and controlled there they say.

We were in Belgium last week. Most people stuck to the rules and it was rather pleasant

Were in the Alps, loads arrived from Paris at the weekend it’s there regional holidays, they just don’t give toss no wonder Paris has a major problem.

Been back in UK a week now, but spent most of it up at the caravan, because Rossendale where I live is on the COVID blacklist with 3 active cases in the past month.

What’s the score when you get back, self isolate for 14 days?

It’s for work so we’ll be regular tested. And tested before we fly back

Didn’t think a negative test meant anything if you travel to a country on the list, you’ve got to do the 14 days whatever the circumstances haven’t you?

Whilst it’s still on the list of course

Rudy, Hi pal, don't know if you'll know or not, is John Howarth still the Senior Academy Scout there at Ciddeh, he used to come watching our juniors (Colls) pretty regular and we haven't seen him for a while, even before the Corona stuff, I was going to give him a ring or email to make sure he is still out and about

Not sure, but doesn't your "football bubble" with its extra testing and demands mean that isolating isn't necessary in the same way as normal folk. I.e. you've got to stay within the confines of training etc.

Think that was what the Scottish medical bloke was getting at the other day.

John is still around, spoke to him at Grandsons training night a couple of weeks ago.

Surprised they got away with that one in the current climate, footballers get to have a test and crack on as normal yet everyone else (including cabinet ministers) have to self isolate for 14 days!

I get that a footballer will be tested frequently, but then again on the way back from your holiday to Spain / Portugal you could self isolate for a couple of days, get tested and be on your way the next day without having to lockdown for 2 weeks (as is the current guideline)

During one particularly virulent outbreak Arnold is said to have encouraged the local populace to steer clear of water altogether and only drink beer, which had the happy effect of saving a great many of them.

St Arnold. Patron Saint of beer. Tomorrow.👍🍺

I don't know how it works, but I think its that players live within a covid secure bubble whilst away playing.

Normal travellers could be going anywhere without the same level compliance monitoring.

Bit like the cricketers. When Archer and the celtic/Aberdeen players cock up, they have to be excluded.

Gutted about the France quarantine

Hoping the ferry and camp allow us to push the booking back to next summer

Any ideas on places that you can still go / are unlikely to come off the list within the next 3 weeks?
