I think it was reported a couple of weeks ago that RBH had five Covid wards, up rom two about a month before. I don't know if tgat's still the case but I can't imagine if it has reduced it's reduced by much. It's not difficult to understand why we're still in Tier 3 based on that.

I think we had 130 odd COVID patients in today.

Chris Whitty just came up with the best answer yet. ‘Would I hug and kiss an elderly relative at Christmas? no, it’s not against the law but it’s not a healthy thing to do. It’s a all about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY’

9 months we’ve been going through this and still, some people need telling what is and what isn’t responsible.

In fairness, Liverpool has rate of less than 150 now, so level 2 seems reasonable. As you say, I can't see it staying that way though.

As for London, its growth is upward, ours is downward. There are 5 different factors used in calculation of tiers though, including actual numbers and hospital capacity.

On those figures London will be in a better position currently. Might well not stay that way though.

All will be revealed on the 16th.

Lancaster has rate of 109 and in tier 3,  it’s a load of bollocks.

Family member on the inside has said it's quite busy.

The treatment is £2500 for a five day course, 130 people all having one 5 day course a week, that's over 1/4 million a week on one treatment.. Scary amount of money!

Lancaster is part of Lancashire. Much of Lancashire has high rates.

Have to draw lines somewhere.

Parts of London are low, others are high and increasing. All in the same tier.

Don’t tell me you expected anything different ?

I just get confused what people are complaining about. Staying away from most of it at the moment got enough gubbins going on here with an 18 and 22year old going stir crazy with each other.

£1500 a day easy on intensive care.

Still better than it was a couple of weeks back. We'd have been in a really bad place by now other than for this lockdown.

For someone who enjoys telling Remoaners that they should just accept the situation and realise that things are done for the best and to stop complaining and just bloody well get on with it, you don’t half do some whining.

It is what is cocker.

You have a point.

What about leavers that keep moaning about leaving though? :)
