London & Liverpool looking like T2 with a review on 16th dec according to sky

The cynic in me would perhaps suggest that they’re reluctant to put London in a total lockdown and Liverpool are being “rewarded “ for not kicking off too much when they were used as the experiment-city.

Great Lever will continue with localised non-restriction status. Tonge Moor too, same state of affairs as since March.

They'd be uproar if it was upgraded to Tier-1.*

* For about 50% of the populace who stroll around and act 'business as usual' - often with a compounding air of arrogance.

All ages, creeds, social class an' all.

Being a thick as fuck, paranoid, selfish wanker is an equal opportunities position.

Everywhere gets reviewed on 16th and 30th etc.

From a purely selfish point of view, I hope Bolton stay Tier 3 until at least 3rd Jan. We're going away for Xmas and Jnr isn't keen on the idea. If we're allowed back in the ground for football and we're not home, she'll flip.

Do you genuinely believe that lockdown and other restrictions have no effect on the numbers coming down - either in April/May, or now? That it would've happened anyway in the same time period?

And while we're at it, do we also now all accept that the number of cases are important, and do have a direct link to hospitalisations and deaths? Or does that still require further investigation?

He really does

This time of year everybody is usually bemoaning how Christmas is; shit, a gyp, overrated, for the kids, " have to tolerate pain in the arse relatives/colleagues/amateur drinkers", "roll-on January 2nd" etc...

Now, all of a sudden, the same people are acting like we're being herded at gunpoint into a newly walled up Pike Mill ghetto - all because this normally widely derided week may suffer a slight impact(s).

Mothball the NHS 'til March?

Yeay! Negligent Genocide.

I suppose they'd refund all the National Insurance contributions of those who unnecessarily peg it during the shutdown?

What a bizarre thought to have - however fleeting.
