Yeah - we might still see someone get full anaphylactic shock at some stage - but the chances are small. And even smaller now these less severe cases have been highlighted and the guidance has changed.

What's happening now is normal - we just need to keep an eye on it and figure out whether the rates are any higher than we'd usually expect.

Definitely no need to panic! 🙂👍

Absolutely.

With the flu vaccine though, we were flirted immediately. No waiting around just in case. Is this normal with the flu jab or just whilst in the pandemic?

I generally compromise with the missus around the Manc xmas markets, spend an hour there, 2 or 3 drinks and a shit sausage, 50 dabs lighter then on to the pub to thaw out.

The Hot Chocolate with Baileys isnt hot, its lukewarm at best, and I've never had a service with a smile, proper miserable cunts.

The only positive, its top drawer for Slag Wellie spotting 😜

Shit sausage? £5 but worth every penny that beast I had

Bolton starting vaccination's on Tuesday

As the Government dislike the North so much, I'm surprised they're not vaccinating all the home counties first, and then waiting until June to get up to Greater Manchester 😀

It's good practice to have people wait around just in case. But most reactions happen really quickly anyway. I think I remember reading that most are within the first minute. I've still never seen or heard about one happening with the flu jab.

Doesn't mean it can't ever happen though!

T'other half is allergic to penicillin and septrin. Nothing with flu jab though. She's now unsure as to whether she should have it. Suppose that's one for the GP or jab nurses.

Are you giving them at all?

Somebody i know, says what sort of dickhead has the vaccine when they are so prone to a reaction that they carry adrenalin

My lad has a severe allergies. When he was young he was allergic to milk and eggs so for all his jabs we had to take him to hospital so they could keep an eye on him for a few hours after.

As he got older the amount of things he had a reaction to reduced thankfully.

Still has to stay clear of peanuts and shellfish though and the has epipens at all times. Never had to use one thank fuck.

He has the flu jab each year no issues.

I'd say yes she definitely should have it - but it's one for the Doctors that one!

Penecillin allergy is really common and unless it's that severe that she's carrying an EpiPen around with her then I'd tell her not to worry.

I'm not giving them yet but it's only a matter of time. Think only registered nurses and Dr's can give this one. Apparently the Oxford one might be opened up so that anyone with the right training can give it. Which is going to need to happen if we're going to give 120,000,000 shots out.

Thing to bear in mind with this is that were giving it primarily to the elderly at the moment. The sad law of averages means that one of them is at some stage - going to die very shortly after having the shot.

That will be the time for cool heads.

But sadly - that's a conspiracy theorists wet dream.

I dont think that's the plan is it

Nearer 60 million, 30x2

But aye, a logistical nightmare. :)

I'm not sure what percentage of people they're hoping to vaccinate?

But 60,000,000 is still a hell of a job!

But worth it to get those microchips in everybody and my Christmas bonus from Bill Gates 😁

15m people, 30m injections should eliminate 99% of the risk to the NHS though

That’s the key

I’d imagine that 5m people, 10m injections probably account for over half the risk
