Do Christmas all over again when you're able to and the kids will be buzzing with that, I reckon.

Must admit I hadn't considered this scenario (even though my lad has had to twice self-isolate because of cases in his year at school) and you've now scared the shit out of me.

Sorry! We are in the 'family' bubble which means technically I could still pick them up today, despite there being a difference in the tiers, but then we would get it and my parents are supposed to be coming down for xmas and I can't risk them getting it as they are in their 70s.

Sure you'll be fine.

Once they're at home isolating then they have to stay in the same place for the 14 days, wouldn't they? That's how we played it with my lad anyway. Did the first isolation at his mum's and did the second with us.

Yeah I think so - I'll be honest I'm confused what is what but they are staying at their mums for this period.

From Monday, apparently....

Someone on radio said if you come back on Sunday you need to isolate for 14 days.
If you comeback Monday 10 days.

Pretty sure that is wrong but it amused me.

Two of my pubs, plus the wifes work have been touch today saying sort your shit out for them being open from thr 19th.

The winter gardens has set all new dates for cancelled shows from the 19th as well.

Suggests its come from somewhere we could be heading for tier 2.

I can see them creating a new tier or summet though

Just booked a test for tomorrow - Lewisham lorry Park, sounds pleasant!

There’s a testing site in Bolton in a car park next to co-op funeral care

Eldest just tested positive, after 8nin her class did so they've got to self isolate for 14 days now which means I won't see them until boxing day. Utter shit, but nothing we can do.

East Kent is going through a huge spike at the moment.

10 days from Monday I read and it can be applied retrospectively after monday i believe!

Best wishes to you and your family anyway pal

Can’t help thinking we’d be better off staying in T3 for now and just wait till the new year, when hopefully we can all crack on.

You can only crack on from zero cases

To be fair, there are at least half a dozen Co-op Funeralcare sites in Bolton. They’ve been buying up independent funeral homes in an effort to keep up with Dignity Funeral Services.

They're not politicians though are they. Dont face the electorate.

Regular observation from local deprived areas suggests giving people lots of support gives more ale money, time to drink it, and less social distancing.

Always a balance

Pubs/Hotels/Restaurants/All shops/Travel/Freedom etc will all be up and running long before we reach zero cases imo.

London should be in tier 3 by Wednesday, bonkers if we aren't.

Test was ok, if i am positive and a mild headache is the worst of it, I'm hoping I am and get it done with. Nothing to leave the house for for 10 days anyway.
