Remember when Germany made advances in WW2? We should have just given them France and loads of Europe shouldn't we? What was the point of carrying on the war, for all that death, destruction and extra cost.

Sometimes war has to continue for proper peace to happen... I'm surprised a man of your expertise doesn't know this. Most of Ukraine does.
