Not even thought about it to be honest. Thought you could only have one if you tested positive and I never have done? And I’m triple jabbed so I assumed that would say I had antibodies anyway?

I'm sure you can but I think it has to be paid for.

Re. antibodies - I don't know but I was under the impression that antibodies generated by the vaccine were different to Covid antibodies.

Mate’s wife LFT positive yesterday and PCR negative today, think that’s 4 folk I personally know who that’s happened to now. If it had happened next week that would have been isolation from the LFT and another body missing from a school.

Did she do a second lft?

Wife always says do a second if its positive, but they do say false +ives are very rare

Yup, waited a couple of hours and was positive twice.

Says to me the pcr is suspect

Unless, of course, she only did the lft a few days in?

Is that possible?

Not sure if the sick pay thing was on this thread

LBC  and a daly mail type up in arms this morning as 'unison and a teaching union are telling members they can have a month off without proof'

Im paraphrasing but youve got to wonder how many are tossing it off cos they get paid

I’ve got a member of staff phoned in sick on New Year’s Eve after doing a positive test in the morning. Sure enough PCR came back negative. I’m now getting criticised for suggesting this is suspicious. Critical shift given to them the day before. And the third time they have done this in the last 6 months. There’s definitely loads taking the piss.

I haven't had one days sick with COVID, I've worked from home, I'm here so I may as well do something rather than lie down all day, I feel shit whether I'm working or not

Wasn’t aimed at you, just pointing out that 28 day rule will cause chaos as the piss takers will have a field day. Saying that, they’re having a field day anyway.

The piss takers are running the country!

Think I’ll pass as I probably don’t really need to know. Just curious

I got the flu jab to gain the antibodies and got the COVID jabs for the same reason

I did a year of virology lectures at uni as part of my degree but that was nearly 40 years ago so I’ve forgotten a lot. I’ll just crack on, wear a mask, sanitise regularly get jabbed when needed, avoid the conspirators, worry if I get symptoms, and do my best to avoid passing it on to folk if I unknowingly have it

All I can do I reckon

It is. Trouble is, getting in to see a doc for a sick note takes forever anyhow.

I’ve seen doc 3 times in last 4 months and each time I’ve rang I’ve got into see them same day. That’s after a phone consultation first in the morning as well. Slick operation

Ffs I’ve been sat with it in a pint glass full of cranberry juice for the last few weeks. Gone a funny colour now.
