Theres loads of salaried folk who don't get sick pay

Too many piss taking bastards out there

I dont get paid fwiw

I know that.

I'm just surprised that a group of GPs don't utilise a more empathetic approach when it comes to staff.

Ultimately, folk can move around to employers that do - hopefully giving the greedy employers a bloody nose.

In some roles though, like the caring profession, the compassion and dedication of individuals might make them a bit of a target for unscrupulous twats.

BBs missus' case seems an example.

An interesting thread, no drama, no hyperbole, but food for thought:

Decent read. One thing I noticed was the comment that Delta is more pathogenic than previous ones.

Not sure what exactly that means in terms of this disease, but I've just had a look at two or three Web sites, and the first explained that with Delta, more viral particles were found in the respiratory tract than with previous ones.

Strangely, two other web sites had conflicting information with regard to death rates: one saying with Delta rate was quite a bit lower than previous ones, and another claiming something different!

I guess this is the difficulty with all sorts of research activities going on at the same time- they will all have slightly different methods of gathering and assessing data, and may even look at different populations etc.

A bit of a ball ache really.

We were all jabbed as kids.

Kids are all jabbed now for various stuff.

Really dont get the issue.

I was jabbing it a few hours ago - fentanyl, demoral and liquidised cocaine. I liked it.

I have to jab it in my groin now my veins are knackered elsewhere.

Fingers crossed for them.

Thankyou. It's just feeling helpless. I love our NHS but for every 5 fantastic nurses there are, you get 1 shit one, guaranteed. I just want them to look after them like I'd look after any of your relatives.

What's happened then, for your "shit one" comment?

That's such a bad start for the new year for you and your family, hope they both get well soon.

Didn't say a great deal to be honest other than what we know; pressures of backlogs, busy a&e, and a load of covid cases.

They had reporters at Blackpool too essentially covering the same issues.

Mrs working at brh tonight saying it's absolutely rammed

Missus has had it a few days and looks like death warmed up this evening.

Coughing, temperature, aching, moaning. She’s a right pain in the arse to be honest.

She was definitely moaning when I was round your house
