Flu vaccines are less effective, taken by fewer people yet the death rate is higher with covid. In years to come, countries may learn to live with it, like they have with mers and sars, doesn't mean that covid won't kill more than flu in years to come. In our (my) lifetime pandemics have accounted for the following. 1 to 1.1 million died from Asian flu 1957-58. 1 million died from Hong Kong flu 1968-70. 25-35 million died from AIDS 1981 to present.
