captainmed Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Nothing at all round the ground. 25 min walk from town. The spoons is massive. Cambridge brew house will be OK for Biggish. We’re down there for 2 nights. Quote

Todmorden (7 miles from home) to Cambridge return £60. Not the quickest journey, but I'll be sat down having a drink anyway. It's like the Enigma Code trying to get to these arseholes of places. Decent pubs on the way out towards the stadium around Mill Road area Devonshire arms Kingston Arms Cambridge blue Petersfield Geldart Alexandra arms Although prepare for the price of a round in most! Central Cambridge has spoons (one of biggest in UK apparently) grain and hop store, brewdog, the pint shop. Avoid the Eagle as always filled with tourists due to its link with Watson and Crick. Out the otherside the Cambridge brewhouse and Fort St George (decent outside area). Wrestlers pub on way to ground is more of a Thai restaurant than boozer Quote

Only getting to Cambridge late on Friday night but planning on a mooch on the Saturday morning to scout it out a bit before the fun and games start. Quote

You won't be far off that price in a lot of places around Cambridge, pretty much London prices everywhere, except Weatherspoons Paid £22 for a pint and a gin and tonic the other week, love heading back North to see friends feels like I make money on a night out Quote
