jeep Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Abba in concert on Channel 5 now.... My God, Agnetha (the blonde one) had an amazing arse!!!! 👍 Quote
Marc505 Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Went to watch Suede at Victoria Warehouse tonight, got postponed through Covid and rearranged to tonight. Not really my bag but went for the gf who loves them. They start playing and she's in tears. Turns our her and her brother used to listen to them on cassette all through the 90s. He passed away in summer, a helicopter paramedic, RAF Cadets sergeant and all round hero. She said this is the first time she has felt any joy since then, dancing around with a massive smile on her face. What more could you wish for? Quote

That's lovely, but also a reminder that you don't bring joy to her 😉 Quote

ErnestTurnip Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Never sure how it's going to go when a key member of a band dies and the rest carry on but The Men They Couldn't Hang were absolutely brilliant last night at Gorilla. It being Armistice Day made Green Fields Of France even more poignant as well. Quote
deane koontz Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Just dawned on me I've not been to a gig since the Covid blessed us. Gonna see if i can sort one out before the end of the year Quote

If I could be bothered, I could bore you with the fact that Suede did have a bug impact on the direction of pop.music after the grunge explosion. The famous 'Yanks Go Home' cover and what led to Britpop and your beloved Oasis, but I can't do all the work for you, although if you'd like to know more I can recommend some great books. Quote

You have reminded me of a thread I wanted to post I’ll do it later keep your peepers peeled Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 (edited) They're old men. Existing only to make hen-pecked kid-powfagged knackered middle-aged men still feel 'edgy'. If any yoof are reading - outside any of their gigs is absolutely perfect for selling snide drugs to dads in 'casual' jeans and dandy coloured Spezials. ErnestTurnip Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I'll put you down as a "No" if I've got a spare then? Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I am a tit rifle, I like rifling with tits. Just one example of their lyrical nonsense, the gummy gumptionless geriatrics. (for alliterative flow pronounce the 'j' in 'geriatrics' as a 'g' in 'gary'). Quote

No, I might come along to knock out some Thiamine supplements as E's to all the sad dads... And heckle the band (pictured below). Edited November 13, 2021 by Youri McAnespie Quote
