East lower and the block next to it in the South Stand as this very rarely gets used would be ideal for safe standing.

Can't see this happening for security reasons.

It would also dilute the crowd around the rest of the stadium, which already looks sparse for loads of games

i dont want to stand up at home games

i like my seat

theres nowhere else available if they decided to change my bit

more after the event bollocks

Wherever they do it (if they do), there'll still be seats. They'll just install these barrier things.

We had to move under sweaty Ken. You move on. Don’t hold the club back because you are a grumpy old man

tbf, there were plenty options then

look, if they do nobhead corner, ive no complaints mainly cos it wont affect me and its pretty much standing as it is

but, im just thinking uncle neil and pc plod wont approve conversion of nobhead land

Yeah the offers they gave us to move were more than adequate. I’ve still 6 years left on my free season ticket. Sharon agreed to honour the deal

Same here but she upgraded mine to a padded seat after I complained about Sweaty Ken dripping sweat on to my free smoked salmon buffet

See I liked that so I didn’t complain. Fair play though.

I much prefer standing, it's an all round better experience. But as others have said the place to do it would be crazy corner and a few blocks of the south stand to create a really good atmosphere.

Will annoy too many people being behind the goal in the North, but judging by the release it sounds like that's where it will be.

Upon reflection, practically, it has to be behind a goal, therefore North stand, for the reasons stated; ensuring folk in seats can see.

Maybe the lower tier initially.

We were in safe standing at Derby, higher up than the corner flag, between their end and their side.

It can go round the corner if you want, that might work from crazy corner to SSL.

The effect on the other blocks in ESL would be no different to what it is now, it would just make crazy corner the official standing area rather than the unofficial status it has had for 26 and a half years

Which is probably the reason it's being considered- if fans continue to "breach rules" then authorities may get twitchy and clubs look for a solution.

I would imagine once installed, if other non- safe standing areas continue to have folk standing (because they can't see) then both regulators and supporters may get a bit more frustrated.

Common sense says an end (or indeed a whole side). Upper or lower is a separate consideration.

People aren't going to move from under the scoreboard in the ESL, where they've been able to stand anyway for decades (and balloon nearish some away fans). Nor will there ever be the will to make sure people there sit.

So having this in the North Stand sounds like a mess waiting to happen. It'll just piss off a load of people who'll have to move, or they won't move and instead just complain about sporadic standers who've turned up near them.

It's something that should happen, but there needs to be some realism that we've had safe standing at the Reebok for a long time now. This is just making it official.

I agree. No-brainer really. Just do that Southern block in ESL for now, and see how it works out. Can always do other sections at a later date.
