Great afternoon that, despite the cold

Credit to them too, for keep attacking

Stewarding and officials the only real letdown, except the get it up front brigade

Cocks

Agreed.  They made it a great game as much as we did.  Michael Duff clearly a good manager.  Before the game it was all about whether we'd cope with their physicality and long throws, it was far far more than that.  They have a bit of everything, height, strength, pace, passing and finishing.  Main thing they have though is organisation, you can see a mile off a manager that knows how to set up a team.  Streets ahead of the Crewe and Doncaster managers.  He'll be sought after when bigger jobs come up.

Play-off semi-final season before last, champions last season, comfortably midtable so far this season.

Pretty good.

Ben Tozer, gone to Wrexham. Probably on more money there.

He was Cheltenham's supporters POTY and players player; then left for a fee to sign for Wrexham 2 divisions below.  To call the national league non league now seems ridiculous, players going there for the money.  There will be players in there that could hold down a place at some Scottish Prem teams.  It needs to be made into a 5th division surely.

That’s a very good point about the strength of the non league at the minute probably the strongest it’s ever been . But could all go to shit when one or two don’t go up only guessing but without constant backing it’s going to be hard few years

Plenty of big clubs at that level now. Consequence of having the likes of Harrogate, Salford, Forest Green & Sutton in the league. When Leigh RMI went in to the Conference in 2000, there were only four full time teams. There’s more than that in Conference North these days.

Agreed.  Wrexham, Stockport signing players on top money, 3 year deals.  The owners clear off next summer, serious financial problems follow.  It just seems hard to justify that if you get relegated from league 1 to 2, you only have to be the 4th best team to go back up, but if you go down to the next tier you have to be one of the best 2, just no margin for error.

I'm particularly chuffed for Thomason as I've always been positive he has something to offer & will develop into a decent player ( granted not top level). He gets around the pitch well, looks to move the ball on quickly & can deliver the odd defence splitting pass. I haven't been so positive about Kachunga & I reckon he will always be a bit frustrating but of late he has played well & causes teams plenty of problems... Long may it continue!

Be one of the AHM, probably giving it rice 😁

It's not us

It's one lad who just winds up the oppo, usually by 'conducting' them

To cart him out for that is an utter nonsense, especially when their mongs were baiting the wsl after each goal

Watched him the previous 2 games from the box behind.

it was only a matter of time to be fair

Travelled a long way, I wouldn't expect anything less from the opposition fans, my only surprise was they didn't bring a flare or two along 😁

They were feral

Our last away of the season might get lively

Enjoyed the game, the performance and the outcome a lot more than I expected when I set off. Lots to be pleased about considering the situation and how thin we are for players

Just lacked a bit of composure a few times, blazing them over or having a pop when a team mate was free a few yards away, Kachunga the victim of that a couple of times. Other than that though we played some great stuff and were a lot more threatening from about 20 mins in than I thought we'd be against them. They've had to evolve a bit style wise but look better for it, were a decent side. Crowley very good and May's movement is very clever.

All the same praise as everyone's given already for Kachunga, Amaechi, Thomason. John was excellent again too, where they caused us problems down our right we did same and more to them on their right. What I like about Amaechi is he increases the tempo as he plays on the move constantly.

Good collective spirit and determination not to chuck that hard earned point away in last 10 mins despite a few tiring a bit and them finishing the game well. Some of the things we're seeing our players do, at this level, are real off your seat moments, it's good to watch.

A player left the scottish prem for Salford while they were in the conference

Agree with alot already been said, has John been asked to whip crosses in earlier? It's certainly better than it has been.

If we can find a way of getting Dapo, Amaechi, Doyle & Kachunga in the starting 11, there's goals for fun.

Small margins and all that but Duff targeted Gordon 1st half especially and it worked for them. No complaints though, he ain't a right back but did his best and was reasonable going forward.

Decent point, enjoyable game and an Anelkaesque finish from Kachunga. What's not to like?
