I reckon DNA along with other aides such as CCTV, witnesses and confessions would be enough to be pretty sure if they were guilty or not.

After reading that article it seems perverse and plain wrong that he has to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he is innocent to get compensation!

How does that work?

The fact that his conviction has been quashed should surely be enough- not having to jump through such hoops.

Depends how it is applied and what dna source it was. For example, If traces of semen were found at the scene and it wasn’t Peter Sullivan dna then it is highly likely the killer was someone else.
