Could not agree more. People having a go at Yvette Cooper for going to Southport. What would they say if she did not go ?

Yvette cooper should resign according to the far right mob for saying ‘the Manchester airport video was concerning’. At this stage it’s just embarrassing. Government need to tackle it somehow.

Yeah, I'm not arsed about this guy's ethnicity, skin colour or religion. I hate all murderers.

Bottom line is that he has committed an atrocity and needs dealing with. Anyone scoring political points off tragedy is a wanker.

As for mental health, I concede it has been used as a loophole in the past, but some killers are in genuine need of help.

From experience, the last part is the bit which kicks, knowing that there is a possibility that these people might walk amongst us once again having claimed a mental health issue, and not being able to say anything against it.

beyond horrific this.

I don’t give a fuck if this bloke is black brown or green, i don’t give a fuck how mental he is, he should be handed over to the dads of all the girls he’s stabbed and justice done from there.

The family won't even want to see him,

Has she done a couple? as she definitely doesn’t say born in the ones I’ve seen.

Just saw the one when she said 'originally from' words seemed same as first I saw other than this.

(based on what I could remember as she referred to herself as a Nana.)

They've started releasing pictures of the little girls that have died and quite honestly it makes me a bit teary.

I know they have to do these things, and it's difficult to see, christ knows what those parents are going through.

Honestly it makes me cry. Hard to explain. But you just think of dropping your own off at school or club or holiday clubs like this and it never once crossed your mind she won’t come back. It’s just too awful to comprehend. Know some folk in Southport and the stories they have told are absolutely awful.

Yep it's really difficult to comprehend.

My 10 years is at poolfoot again tomorrow for his holiday club thing. He's buzzing. It's ace, all kids just having fun without a care in the world.

Then you think of those poor souls just doing the same and how excited they'd have been dancing about to Taylor Swfit. Imagine the fear they all went through.

You just can't get your head around it at all :(

If you’re going out randomly killing kids, or anyone for that matter, we know you have mental health issues. Why all of a sudden is it being used as some kind of excuse for people?

Massive increase stop and search needed, zero tolerance if found in possession of a knife... I'd go as far as to say if plod stopped and searched me as a result I'd shake their hands

Because they feel they can get away with it,

I'm limited on what I post as my situations ongoing with a court case in September,  but as its been in the news I can state what's what and the guy who murdered my brother has been sectioned and has pushed the court date back,  not sure what that will achieve but the bottom line legally is "he's not responsible for his actions".

Caused a lot of anguish and upset as i feel the guy knew what he was doing and methodically planned it, but we have no say in the case as he's pleaded guilty.

The truth of why he did it is clear as day to us.

That’s well and good in inner city areas and places where you would expect trouble but it’s never going to happen on quiet streets in towns like Southport.

I don’t think it’s about it being an excuse but if it is mental health then at least in theory we could do something about it by improving services and changing our approaches to people with these conditions. It’s worse if it’s just random. I think believing it’s mental health related is a comfort blanket.
