Spent the afternoon a few days ago walking around with a Stanley knife in my pocket. Put it in as I cut up boxes for recycling and forgot about it. Pretty rough to get banged up for that I think.

Impossible to police it.

I'm thinking long-term deterrent... first problem would be where to put the first intake of scumbags... I'm thinking on-site secure labour camps like the Japanese in Burmah... tunnel under Stonehenge? HS2? No problems, we'll do it using scum labour without heavy technology/equipment/health and safety.. tire them out and get them subdued. They can dig with their knives and forks that they use for their dinners

Are you really suggesting the solution to knife crime is the bridge over the river Kwai ?

Almost unlimited stop and search powers, absolute zero tolerance, very hard labour camps... that'll get the little scrotes thinking twice before going out strutting with their zombie knives

If you think a maniac who decides to stab multiple kids to death in broad daylight might reconsider his decision if there was a harsher deterrent - even death - you're seriously deluded.

Though it’s unlikely you will stop these kind of attacks, there’s surely ways and means of making the attackers life as miserable as possible afterwards,  and I don’t mean a long jail term in some prison where they have access to phones, gyms, TVs, education etc. they need to be sent to some desolate shit hole like one of those islands off Scotland or Daubhill. 1 letter and 1 phone call a month. No visits, grow their own food, no TV,  no radio. 1 x copy of the guardian a month. It needs to be like Alcatraz but worse. Obviously it will never happen because there’s 2 many weak spineless shit bags in society’s who will claim these cuts have human rights. As soon as any crime like we have recently witnessed is committed then they should have no rights.

On the subject of knife crime, it's no wonder it's so prevelant when the punishment is so soft

What is happening with the cunt that did iy Surely he should have been in court by now  to be remanded to either a prison or hospital.

Perhaps plod have forgotten they have him in custody?

Or, they are following the rules so as not to prejudice any trial, which i reckon is pretty important
