I think TMJs comment at the end there is a grim reminder of where we're at.

That the blame is being laid not at those dickheads burning mosques, but the 'left' for creating this problem. It's worrying. 

Just imagine the outrage if someone had said that in response to the attack on synagogue. That people will in the end take things into their own hands. There would be outrage and that kind of response, and rightly so.

I think people will look back at the past few decades and say we got it wrong yes. I don't think politicians like Merkel are morons or idiots though, it was a collective decision across Europe, across right and left wing parties. We've gained more positives than negatives in my opinion. Many of the problems we're currently facing aren't down to the mistakes we've made with uncontrolled immigration.

But we need a managed, sensible system. The overwhelming majority of people in this country are calling for it now and I hope we're heading that way. It's just a question of how fast. 

Either way - we need immigrants.
