It's very revealing when the media reports of doctors, lawyers, and architects are being arrested, making specific reference to their careers

It's literally "but these people are middle class!"

It's like they're predicting a news release in the next day or so 🤔

Keep your eye on Portland mate, started to get tasty over there in the last hour or so. Will escalate pretty quickly

Thats what's expected when the call to defund the police and the decriminalisation of drug use is acceptable.

It's utterly mind boggling to me that people have watched that song, then the anti vax conspiracy theorist and thought to themselves.......

"Yeah, these guys look capable of running the country"

Good stuff mate. Keep it up. A landslide might result.

Crazy

The father of this week's terrorist is also a doctor and once posted on social media that history will apologise to Hitler

I often wonder if the lefties supporting the Palestinian cause ever wonder how much they and their supporters were in total support of the Nazis. The same marchers who accuse everyone who doesn't support them of being fascists.

As curious as the muslim v homosexuality conundrum they have to wrestle with. Mixed up morons.

Nice to see the government have so much money to spunk away on foreign soil.

Is this any surprise? Probably channelled into Hezbollah coffers.

Labour has always had this 'let's finance the one eyed black lesbians against the bomb' flaw. Plenty of instances.

Not like there are any worthy causes to spend the money on in the UK eh? Cost of living crisis? What crisis?

You're right, it might.

We've somehow reached the state where we have politicians have a supporter base that becomes more loyal when you point out problems, flaws and inconsistencies or fact check obvious untruths to them.

It's very odd. It's almost cult like in my opinion. Or dare I say, like Islam 😉. In that acolytes have to wilfully suspend their disbelief, abandon critical reasoning and not deviate from whatever the party tropes are.

As I say, I find it really odd. I've never experienced anything like it in my lifetime in UK politics. It's a new style to me and it's almost impossible to counter. It feels like talking to a vaccine sceptic or a flat earther or a religious fundamentalist. Which makes it very powerful. But also very dangerous.

As it stands, Reform look to be a shoe in. Although I do expect that by the time of the next election (presuming that they survive the full term) we will start to see the benefit of the policies Labour have enacted. And Reform will need to show that they can govern at a local level in the councils they now have power over. They're also going to start coming under a lot more scrutiny. Which their supporters will call a witch hunt.

I've a feeling that they could badly manage some of these councils - purely and simply because many of the people elected who have very little experience. And that might bite them on the bum. Although it's equally possible that their supporter base won't care. Or will just blame someone else for any mess, as seems to be the strategy employed in the US. Which is what this movement is based on. Even to the point where they've accused immigrants of eating swans. Directly from the Donald Trump playbook. Does Nigel Farage assume we don't read the news or something?

Other than that it looks like you'll get your vision. The UK out of Europe, and with a right wing populist party at the helm. The holy grail of the Daily Mail if you will! 😁

I think that will be a really shit country for my son to spend his teenage years in. I feel sad and worried for him. And for the future of the UK. But then I'm sure you'll disagree! 😁

So

I've asked if the story is legit. @burnden has ignored the question and all you've offered is another profound quote. Excellent work boys.

Then all I've got to go from is Lee Nallalingham's twitter account screenshot. Who's political credentials are described as 'A dad just fighting for a better world for his little girl.'

Now that sounds lovely Lee, but you could help your daughter first by not telling lies and learning some basic maths. As there's quite a large difference between 5 million and 46.

Even if there's a truth to it - i find it very odd that people like Lee and Tommy Robinson are calling for us to do more to fight Islamists - but then call Labour traitors and scumbags for boosting security to fight it abroad.

And as I pointed out yesterday, the yanks have also invested a fortune in the same scheme to combat Hezbollah. Wonder why the Trump administration isn't getting the same criticism?

Completely.

Regarding your first paragraph you need to factor in years of being ignored and disappointed by an election winning machine and it's annoyingly inept little counterweight.

It's reached a point of "I've listened to you cunts so many times before and you've shat on me. You can fuck right off - I'm voting in the hope of a change".

I got my son (and daughter) out of there many years ago in anticipation of some of the main issues hobbling the UK in recent times. I think there'll be a good chance that your sons teenage years will be a lot better than they could have been if the shitty duopoly had remained unchallenged by something other than minor party fuckwits who ignore democratically arrived at results or want you to live by candlelight off mung beans.

I think he's been doing some research for the Beer thread.

Either that or, to use another profound quote, as numb as a piss stone. Having said that, I don't want to be seen as being disrespectful to piss stones.

Cheers boys

And apologies @burnden  somehow didn't see your other response yesterday 👍 Otherwise wouldn't have added this today. My bad

@bolty58 & @miamiwhite - I'll let you revel in my ignorance on this sunny sunday morning. You can have this one x

I will add however - that fighting Islamists abroad is part of the battle. And it certainly doesn't make Labour traitors or scumbags. Unless we want to close the borders and become a self sufficient hermit nation. Then we need contracts like this.

Yes, the poor lad has definitely been doing deep research on the beer thread ☺

So sir Keir is arrested people he has proscribed as a terrorist outfit.

Just checking because usually he gets pelters for arresting folk.

Maybe it’s a balanced situation after all and it’s making some angry lads and lasses look a bit daft now so they won’t mention it.

The bloke is just cracking on. Boring, boring Starmer.
