You sound quite disappointed that it's a British-born nutter. At least you can feel slightly better because he's black. Quote

As for initial thoughts, I was hoping nobody died. So far so good. My next thought was “2 men are stabbing loads of people on a train in the year 2025, that’s fucking weird.” I was 99% sure I knew where they both were. But as I said, one of them is 20 years old, and very independent. Not sure about you, but I don't track my kids' every single move, 24 hours a day. And as I said to Gonzo, my second thought was for the victims. It's a bit weird that you're picking me up on this, and think I should have been predicting the ethnicity of a nutter instead. Quote
only1swanny Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 seen a fair few posts now on social media along the lines of "blame the parents" and blaming 2nd Generation migrants. Quote

Whilst the muzzies are responsible for most, there could be a new threat emerging we haven’t heard of yet. Rasta fundamentalism seems a long shot though. Unless it's religiously or politically motivated it's no more a terror attack than a mass school shooting and all that No doubt It'll either be islamic extremism or down to his mental health Quote
jmjhb Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 With the 35-year-old that's now being released, did they just arrest a random black lad? Quote

Going off what someone was saying on Sky News last night (btw, not watched it for ages, that channel is fucking YELLOW!) the second person mingled with the crowd of people evacuating the train and was arrested on the platform. So was basically just someone trying to evacuate the train 😂 Quote

Manchester_whites Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Apparently there were a load of London based Forest fans (returning to London) on the train and they had a go at the knife man. Quote

Must just be me, maybe all the killings carried out by Muslim extremists are in some way skewing my view when other mass casualty events take place. Back in the 80’s and 90’s, any bombings or similar events and I’d be there thinking “oh, it’s those religious nutjobs squabbling over some bogland in Ireland” like some sort of bigot. All that’s changed here is the religion. Maybe if there weren’t so many Islamic attacks I’d start to assume the vaccine or 5G masts were sending folk round the bend. Quote

Aye, agree They've always had mental hospitals mind, like Broadmoor and Ashworth were well known criminals end up like Peter Sutcliffe, Ronnie Kray, Ian Brady and even Dale Cregan Quote

Probability, law of averages, call it what you want, but we’re at the point where mass casuality attacks are going to be religiously motivated, with Islam being the most likely. A Jew may yet run into a mosque stabbing Muslims, but if we’re having a bet, I wouldn’t be putting my money on that. Quote

Not sure why they’ve started to bring it up now, they never used to. Not wishing to be a smart arse or pedant, which I quite clearly am, this is a common misconception. Most don’t actually suffer from mental health problems but from personality disorders such as psychopathy or sociopathy. They are different. My eldest, who is a psychologist, explained this to me a while ago The important things here is when it goes to court. The defence may say that the accused “couldn’t help it” due to mental health issues. The prosecution, with the aid of a psychiatrist and psychologist will call bollocks demonstrating the thought processes, planning, etc that went into an attack. Playing the mental health card is getting ever more difficult with better diagnosis I’ll be following this case because of the above. Interests me just because of my daughter’s chosen career path Quote

I haven’t called you ‘drama queen’ for being concerned about terrorism You’ve made that bit up. I’ve used that term before in the response to the dramatic generalisations you’ve made. Regularly tarring all Muslims with the same brush & painting Islam as the enemy. Mass stabbing & your first response is an irrelevant made up attempt at point scoring- not your finest day at all mate is it. I’m well aware some ‘serious shit’ will likely happen. I’d argue it already is. I am concerned about the rise of radical Islam & I want our government to do more & get tougher. Zero tolerance on those preaching it. I also worry about our own set of absolute morons who think it’s acceptable to spread misinformation & attack innocent people whenever a terror attack happens. Only makes it 10x worse. Southport riots an example of that. If we do hit a tipping point, you can guarantee there will be radicals on both sides. & voting Farage in won’t help the situation 😄 Edited November 2, 2025 by London Wanderer Quote
