In the same way that there are several different opinions on the Palestinian viewpoint, there's lots on the Israeli side too. B'Tselem, a HRA based in Tel Aviv, do amazing and very brave work in the face of strong opposition. The Jewish Labour Movement is almost as old as the party itself and there are several other affiliate groups - mainly because they can't agree on the right approach to Israel and Zionism. End of the day, there are extremists on both sides who refuse to recognise the opposition but much larger moderate groups who believe a 2 state solution to be the best chance of lasting peace. The latest kick off is over a disputed territory of east Jerusalem. The Israeli settlers say they have a legal right to the land based on Israeli law that permits Jews to recover property abandoned during the war.
