Clough was a quality player. People big up Aaron Collins as an exceptional talent for a career going at a goal every four games in the third and fourth tier. Zach was doing that in the Championship at 20. A massive shame how it worked out for all involved.

So refreshing watching PSG. They do everything with intent. No farting about for the sake of it.
  11. So a news outlet reports on the leader of a grooming gang is convicted and issued a deportation order. He's then cracked on and lived a normal life working in the town he sexualy abused, drugged, gang raped and ruined the lives of children there. He's not been deported because "Pakistan don't want him" Hes working whilst building a property in the country that "doesn't want him" I'm really struggling to grasp how this can be considered as click bait or being sensationalised in any way shape or form. How can anyone possibly lay this at the door of the reporting news outlet or journalist? It's honestly no wonder these cases were allowed to manifest and grow with folk like @peelyfeet You are part of the problem.

Eddie Redmayne in Theory Of Everything wasn't even a spaz and he played Stephen Hawking who was famously spacky.
  13. Hence the law needs changing. Or simply send the cunt back. He played the system, committed his crime and should be sent back. We have enough leverage with visas for others. The issue isn't with the man? Fucking hell, that's shameful. And yes there are loads every day. Send all the cunts back. Another news snob too. There is only TV channel genuinely interested in properly bringing all this out into the public. Charlie Peters has just won an award, and his work will have played a part in getting a public enquiry granted into the grooming gangs. Rage bait- how fucking typical. Stroke the progressives egos, whilst pretending there is no major issue. Might change you mind if one of your family gets gang raped, scarred for the rest of their life, or murdered. Then again, you might feel sorry for him, want him living in your or someone else's community.
  14. Why would it be low on probability? Maybe homes in Pakistan are somewhat cheaper then over here. He wouldn't be working for a company like that neither would he, so it's moot. Even if he was, the fact still remains he revoked his citizenship so he could stay, yet has a place in Pakistan that he doesn't want to be a part of. It is categoric that he is playing the system, and there is no defending the utterly ridiculous nature of our system.
  15. That would be the stretch between Hall Lane and Prestolee Locks. The map attached shows the red bit in the middle that they are opening up. A nice little video on the development website. As I said earlier, 🤞 for the locks. https://creamsmill.co.uk

As above. Off on a @Traf trip on friday Weather forecast is obviously belting for the UK so get the “oh you’ve fucked up booking those dates haven’t you when the weather’s so good at home” from some folk round here and at work Have to admit. Yep. I’ll miss the pool and sunbeds in my back garden. The short walk to the sea on the Costa East Manc. And the array of tapas restaurants 5 minutes walk away….

Hopefully not. But its a timely reminder that injuries happen (to us) and however strong our keeper, full backs, CBs, midfielders and wingers are, if we don't have 2 decent fit strikers for 90% of league games, we aren't going to get far. We know we'll have plenty cover in other positions even if eg Tomo has to play LB, but we can't function without strikers and if we don't start the season with another two we've only ourselves to blame when we're down to 1 fit striker.

Nobody's "rubbed me up the wrong way" - though you seem to be trying quite hard. I agreed with Bolty's post about the tendency to over-represent blacks in English historical dramas as if England was far more multicultural than it actually was. I don't see the logic in it. In every other aspect they strive for authenticity. I'm more than happy to accept multi-cultural England today without pretending it's always been the case. I personally would prefer authenticity*. Really not a difficult concept to grasp. * and no, I don't need to see folk shitting in a bucket and pouring it out of the window to regard something as authentic, but I would be horrified by a flushing bog in a Tudor drama.

Why did she say it quietly?
  32. Nothing then. Nobody has 'downplayed' it or been 'offended' as far as I can tell. Talk about it until the cows come home. But don't pretend the Daily Mail, GBNews and their ilk report this stuff because they care. Peely is spot on. It's all about clicks and sensationalism. And it clearly works very well.
  33. A video of a bloke from GB news parroting a Daily Mail article snipped to a few soundbites for clicks. The story is, there are high level talks between the UK govmt and Pakistan to get it sorted, not some people in Rochdale dont like him being there and some faceless people in Pakistan say he's built a house off the back of pizza money.
  34. My solution? After his crimes he should never have seen the light of day again. Up there with murder for me. What do we do about it? Fuck knows. I don't really know what to do about climate change or people drink driving and killing people. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be reported. And it certainly doesn't mean folk should downplay it or be offended by folks outrage just because there's no apparent solution. What's the point in any form of discussion if it just gets shut down because some people don't like the source of that discussion. How can anyone in their right mind think that any of it is OK? We've got peelyfeet trying to split hairs and pull apart the discussion over whether this feel might come in to Contact with victims delivering pizzas? That isn't stating fact. It's just bollocks. And like I said earlier, if his young girl had been abused and the monster was still working in his town he might think differently.

you really are tedious aren't you. I agreed with a comment about black actors in historical dramas. I'm eagerly awaiting the post about inauthentic dentistry - I'll be all over that fucker like a bad rash.

yes. insofar as we can make things historically authentic in programmes that are trying to be authentic, deliberately doing anything that isn't is a bit daft. I'm not losing sleep over it *, just don't understand why. * But you should see me if they're using something that wasn't invented until decades later. Fucking livid, I am.

  44. If he had been convicted of raping and abusing teenage girls in my area I certainly wouldn't want him roaming about living, working or delivering fuck all. Imagine being the family of one the victims knows he's bowling about in the same town? The guys being allowed to live a normal life in the same town he groomed and abused countless victims. All while being issued a deportation order. Play it down all you want but if it was your child or anyone you knew involved you might think differently.
  45. Really? What if he turns up at a victims door with a pepperoni?
  46. Makes you wonder why you'd want to live in a terraced house in Rochdale
  47. We got £2.5m for Rob Holding from Arsenal around the same time David Brooks went from Sheffield Utd to Bournemouth for £11.5m, whilst City signed Patrick Roberts from Fulham for £12m I know we had financial issues but seeing young lads with barely a season of championship football under their belts go for £10m+ and we got fuck all was just further evidence of us being wank in the transfer market Particularly when RH went on to have the best PL career of the 3 of them
  48. So if we have 500 away ST holders, and we get an allocation of 1k at Stockport, presumably they will each be allowed 2 tickets max? And they are obliged to buy at least one anyway, so unless they're going on their own they're buying 2. Take out 100 or so for club officials and players and I don't see how they even go on sale to ST holders for most weekend away matches. I must be missing something here but why does 1 away ST entitle someone to multiple tickets?
