This Luton game is one I want us to go out and win. Strongest team available please. Rest players later if needed. End Luton's play-off hopes and put a marker down.

Anyone fearing Stockport in the playoffs should wear a nappy in public.

Good call with this outlook. A play-off quarter final knocking out Luton, who if they win would be potentially the most dangerous opponents and biggest threat to our championship ambitions.
  4. Fuck me I can only just stomach the rest of this season.
  5. I'm not sure there was an expectancy of Simons as such, it's just that he was so impressive early on. His form fell off a cliff, but that early form showed there is a very good player in there. Definitely not one to be written off.

Turned it on, saw that penalty get given, turned it off. Elite or not, it’s ruined by VAR.

He was looking the other way. The ball twatted his hand at 90mph from 3 yards away and it hit his knee first. Fuckin ridiculous. Fell back in love with top level football for 44 minutes there.

4 of our more recent injuries - EE, Simons, McAtee and Dempsey - didn't they all occur in training rather than a match? We don't need a match to pick up injuries, so let's just get on with it. Our attitude should be that the play offs start on Saturday, as we can help our cause greatly in 3 ways: finishing top 4, keeping Luton out of the play offs, and maintaining momentum and confidence of both the team and fans.
  9. You'll have some on here saying give them the whole end, roll the red carpet out and get Lofty dressed up as a Bantam.

A draw might get them in if Stevenage lose! Let’s just get em beat and out If it! 😂

No you’re right. After that result tonight, even losing would more than likely mean we finish 3/4th! (I can’t see both Bradford and Stockport winning away from home!) Not losing Saturday is more important for knocking Luton out.
  12. Surely nobody is favouring Luton or Plymouth in the play-offs to Stockport?! Luton’s 5 and 10 game form is fantastic. We need to put them to bed Saturday. The form, fitness, player availability of a confident and firing Luton is surely a more concerning prospect than a bereft and and out-of-form Stockport, despite the fact they beat us twice nearly a year ago and knocked us out of the FA Cup 5 years ago.

I just can't imagine celebrating any goal fully knowing someone has to forensically find reasons to disallow it

Imagine how many of those amazing last minute goals we've enjoyed this season would have had the moment ruined by VAR checks. My guess is every single one of them.

Football at its absolute peak. We we have mongos watching this then expecting our duffers to be the same on a Saturday
  17. It's not a rule, we could give someone the whole stand if we wanted There's a minimum and clubs have started sticking to it The Sunderland Sheff weds game was when both teams could've easily sold out big followings but one team said no (think weds refused to give them lowe tier) so the other said fuck you and both gave as few as they're allowed

If we lose, do we go into the repechage event?

I’ve been tooing and froing on this one, but I think I’ve come down on the side of choosing the best side through to Wembley. I just think the reward for winning (securing 3rd/4th, momentum, confidence and continuing to build partnerships and understanding for our best 11) negates the freakish misfortune of sustaining injuries.
  21. I'd not give them the extra 64 tickets either.
  22. I had no idea the season starts so late compared to recent years, the league season at any rate. It has generally been very early August and one year it was even late July. For clubs in the play offs that's a little blessing really. And it almost feels like days gone by when it was always later in August.
  23. Tomorrow he'll be back to calling our war dead cowards and our aircraft carriers toys. He's just a twat, nothing more

As above, keep trying. Mix and match, so if one thing doesn't work, something else will. Lad was just hardening off some legumes etc, and a bastard mouse went through and nibbled the stems through- he actually saw it. Similarly, they dug up my early broad beans. Just have to go with it, and find deterrents. For me, soil, feeding and water are key. Sounds obvious, but I don't think I've watered veg enough at times. Maybe also true of feeding at times. Veg can be "hungry". Just enjoy doing it- avoid overspending on compost-and see where it takes you. NiC also does some.

The Portsmouth game 23/24 was the ideal set up, half upper half lower and same for home support the other. Smaller followings shove them up in the upper and leave South lower for home fans.

  30. Looks like a massive phallus
  31. Find the obsession with Luton being good, really odd
  32. Quite bizarre that the teams in 3rd down to 8th can still all play any of the other 5 teams in the play off semis, with the exception that Plymouth can't play Stevenage. No doubt it will change several times during the games on Saturday.

Also how good does Kane look with these players alongside him? Drifts wherever he wants, plays other forwards in. Meanwhile England will have him isolated up front and then taking corners or something

  38. Hard call some say put your best team out, i say rest as many as we can.....If at 5pm on Saturday and we are Home second leg to either Bradford or Stevenage and no Sending offs or injuries it is the right call, but we could still be away in the second leg with a couple of key players done for the season. Tough call for SS, but will back him either way....Except on the Dalby situation. Nobody should play Saturday unless they are 100% ok......No need to gamble on players fitness
  39. It looked like a scene I encounter quite frequently on my rounds tbf.

  45. The reality is we could face any one of the other 5 teams, by finishing 3/4/5th But good fun nevertheless having a guessing game. I’m hoping it’s Bolton, Stockport, Bradford and Stevenage in that order. Stockport or Bradford at Wembley But as @krimzon says all those we lost against above we could/should have beat! The thing that makes this lineup appealing, but consequently could also be our undoing, is that those other 3 sides are all over-achieving, and winning a play-off final and going up to the championship is beyond their expectations. Stockport are the out-lier here, having over achieved last year. But still it would be a massive bonus for them. For us, we lose we’ve under-achieved. Failure is despondency. It’s been our expectation now for at least 3 seasons. It could go either way for us, but I actually think that makes us favourites and dangerous opponents. Probably why I’m a bit more wary of an in-form Plymouth or Luton. But fuck it..we’ll do it this year. These late goals, late drama, never say die attitude, big crowds, exciting players are all finally going to make a difference.
  46. Rodrigues is ace. Works incredibly hard for a ‘flair’ player. Thinks he’s a missing ingredient
