Nation of hysterical fucking grief junkies. A poor woman has been hunted down, murdered and left dismembered in some woods by a complete and utter psychopath ffs. How about we all let her family grieve instead of hijacking it for some wankish movement that won’t serve any purpose whatsoever. This case is nothing to do with the wider issue whatsoever. It’s a completely isolated incident involving the murder of a young woman, not some dick groping a drunk lass on the tube. Theres a time and a place to address the wider issue and “educate our sons” etc. The aftermath of a gruesome murder is definitely not it.6 likes

Look Ive no issue with a vigil, raising awareness etc.. it’s a reaction to a horrible, shocking event. Fair enough. The bloke that did it has been caught within days (assuming it’s him of course). It’s an utter one in a billion chance that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its rare to see blokes leaning off scaffolding, or out of van windows whistling and jeering at women nowadays ( @gonzo will never change). Attitudes are much better. Its the same old story that social media is driving people to do something, and if you dare show a shred of dissention or disagreement, you are thrown into the pit with the perpetrators. It’s fucking mental. It’s becoming a huge game of oneupmanship every time something shit happens. Shit things will always happen.1 like

Yes that is a common sense comment from the Police after an incident such as this. Shame folk are criticising it. Plenty of people haven't waited until now though. Lots of groups supporting victims of street harassment and assault have sprung up recently. Women taking self-defence classes is also on the rise. Of course we will never make the streets completely safe, but we could offer more in the way of support, such as free classes or at reduced prises for those who need them. Making sure vulnerable women know their rights and that they will be supported if they come forward. Surely you can recognise that events like this trigger wider issues for people? Chat to some women who've experienced it. It's perfectly normal for it to bring up these things. The events in Bristol were triggered by a las who was horrifically assaulted in a nightclub. That had a domino effect and united other women who've experienced assaults albeit on a smaller scale. They raised awareness and security have since been more vigilant in chucking culprits out. Not sure why it's a bad thing if this brings stuff up for other women. Folk claiming it to be virtue signalling are just the same numpties using the label for Rashford.1 like

How many abductions have there been in the area this girl was taken from over the years? I’d bet not many. Have a vigil for the poor girl and her family by all means, but things like this are thankfully extremely rare indeed. If this murderer had made his mind up that he was going to kill some random girl, then I doubt anything would have stopped him. Blokes get topped as well, for the record. If someone’s determined enough, it’s happening. Sorry.1 like

Nobody is suggesting having a fucking vigil is going to stop psychos. This about so much more. Grim events always trigger wider issues. Whether people like protest or not, people coming together has had an effect on creating positive change over time.1 like

How can you educate someone who has these sort of thoughts/intentions? If this worked would we not be educating peados and have stopped this too? It’s worse than it’s ever been watching the programme on it the other week normal Folk don’t need educating or awareness raising. It’s natural. It’s not like we are asking people to pick up their dog shit. You are asking someone who wants to rape/attack/kill a woman to think about what they are doing. by all means if people want to do these protests etc then so be it but I fail to see how it’s going to affect anything personally.1 like

Anyhow, fans of the Sleafords (pictured below) can catch up with the gents in the latest hip youngster's periodical The NME - where they hold forth on; Tony Blair, Boris Johnson, denture fixatives, decimalisation, 'darkies', Glen Miller, biscuits and not being able to use their bus pass before 10am... http;//www,nme.co.org/sleafordmods-theyreusedtobe240penniesinappund.url1 like

I don't think anyone is "blaming her" as such, just pointing out that a woman walking alone at night isn't safe. It's a sad state of affairs, but it's where we are at in todays society unfortunately.1 like

1-17. The goal conceded followed a poor pass by Maddison which forced 14 subsequent errors by other players. Thomason came on for his last ever game before retiring due to lack of footballing abilty. He scored 6. He apologised to everyone.1 like

Maybe so, but there was more than enough time and threat for Cambridge to have got an equaliser, so to have seen that through should be treated as a positive in my mind, even if it is admittedly affected by a decade of mental scarring.1 like
