Think I've mentioned before but Joseph Platt was my Great Grandad. My Mum who has just turned 80 lost her Grandad at 6 weeks old. I don't think my Nan was very close to her Dad so all this feels a bit factual rather than me getting emotional about it. I notice some relatives of the victims got hospitality on Saturday so could leverage that in future I guess. 🙂

They've just changed the playoffs in AFL to the top 10 teams. Trying to achieve the same objective, fewer dead games but with no relegation that is tricky. So 10 out of 18 teams playoff. And 10th can win the whole thing! The playoffs are weighted to suit higher finishing teams which I think the Football League playoffs could improve.

Went to a Chester v Shrewsbury game in our PL days as we weren't playing Saturday (don't ask). One set of fans were singing "we hate Wrexham more than you" which amused me.

Mental when you think about it. Darby was traditionally a goal scoring midfielder being asked to play upfront due to an Andy Walker injury. Then switched to centre back when Stubbs was sent off. Plus he got a crucial goal at Bournemouth and the winner against Stoke. Proper heroic stuff. So unfair he got stick a lot of his time at Bolton.
