Whitesince63 Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Don’t give a monkeys whether Wigan stay up or not eventually but I do want them to win these next two to help us out. Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Draw would be good tonight- keeps Wiggin int bottom three and the gap in front of Luton Quote
Zico Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Luton are 12 behind us I'll gladly give them the win tonight Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Gary Rowett in at Leicester. That's bad news for Blackburn and WBA. Quote

boltonboris Posted February 18 Posted February 18 So Wigan’s new manager bounce garnered a first half xG of 0.003 with one blocked shot all they could muster. Luton hardly fared better. Sounds like an absolute snooze fest Quote

jmjhb Posted February 18 Posted February 18 (edited) People are worried about the final day? Luton's last away win was in November. Edited February 18 by jmjhb Quote

Yes, I think folk have decided its a tough game because their name is Luton not Stevenage, without knowledge of how relatively bad they are, with a rookie manager. That doesn't mean its an easy game, but none are, its just not in the "tough" category, same as Huddersfield. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 19 Posted February 19 If be well chuffed if we can take it that far. Beat Luton to go up- bring it on. Quote
bolty58 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Wasn't sure where to put this without starting a new thread. Dougie Freedman a possibility of being Tottenhams new Sporting Director? Really? Quote
Lt. Aldo Raine Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I think he's quite well thought by a few in the game He was responsible for quite a few shrewd signings during his time at Crustal Palace Quote

I'd be amazed if he wanted all that stress again. Quote

Lt. Aldo Raine Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I can't claim to have paid close attention but the few times I watched his teams, they always looked well-organised and well-coached but were desperately short of the quality to make it count Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Strange how things turn so quickly. A couple of months ago his in-season stock was probably higher than SS given how he'd improved Northampton, and plenty would have been happy to have him here I'm sure. Now he'll struggle to get another managerial job in the EFL, and SS has gone 11 unbeaten. Quote

A small club he saved from relegationast season and one that was doing quite well this. Whether it just went stale, or lack of quality, the results haven't been as good. That doesn't suddenly mean he isn't good enough. In fact he will have gained more experience. BSA was sacked by Blackpool, then ended up taking Notts County on an incredible promotion path, with a record winning margin. The rest is history. Nobby has played at the highest level, and may well do better with a higher quality of player, further up. Either way, he has cut his teeth, and will definitely be considered for other roles, should he want them. Quote

Seemed a hiding to nothing with a poor squad and relegation to league 2 a matter of time. Hopefully not his last job Quote
