Barca are a legacy club mate. An absolute juggernaut.

Bigger than your boys. Not by much like but there's only United and Real above them. I'd have em level pegging with United tbh.

Considering where we've been and where we are I reckon our numbers in past 10 years stack up to most.

Better numbers than latter stages of Prem.

Reckon folk will view us as pretty decent.

Boltons historic average attendance is 17k....which does lean to you have many years of some god-awfull crowds that most will ignore.

But, you are currently at what ?? Aorund 20k average for this season while playing in the 3rd division, and selling out away games. I would say thats very very good support, that only a certain amount of clubs would do.

If you're basing it on crowds, then maybe Benfica- their attendances this season are typically in the high 50k.

Also won two European cups- one fewer than Utd.

Inter.

hard to disagree, won the same number of titles as AC (19), but "only" 3 european cups compared to AC's 7

but still 1 more than Juventus who've won it twice, however, they've won the title 36 times

still inclined to put them in tier 2 along with Ajax and Benfica

not sure where to put City and PSG, tier 2 or 3, not sure they have the pedigree for tier 2 alongside the Ajax's etc, but definitely not in the top tier

Ye, its a tough one and close on some criteria, then not on others.

Many factors really.

Getting all "geeky", points could be awarded for key criteria headers : euro trophies, domestic trophies, historic crowds, years in top league, highest finishes, cup wins, cup finals, consecutive years in ellite leagues, firsts (founder members etc), records.

That would help narrow down a more refined list.

The way that appears on my phone it looks like headers was one of you key criteria

Bit of perspective derby have sold 2100 tickets for Portsmouth on a Tuesday live on sky we wouldn’t get near that, if we go up our support will seem very average compared to others some big hitters in championship

It's an extra 2 hour round trip for us compared to Derby. Also it's later in the season and a bigger game than it was for us in December.

They only brought 2,800 to us this season, we brought 3,000 to them.

Our support is extremely good for this level and would still be good in the Championship regardless.

Charged them £30 this time

And the 5k the year before on tv yet again we could only dream of that

it would be mid range in the championship especially when you throw in live tv picks & high prices

I reckon we'd sell that easy.

If we were in Derby’s position we would undoubtedly sell that out.

Indeed. Ian Rush couldn't get on a plane to Juventus quick enough.

....or John Charles the same trip way before Rush.

Real Madrid and Inter assembled teams of 'galactico's' in the 50's. Money talked then too - they came from everywhere.

I don’t think Derby support is all that, on many occasions they’ve brought poor support when they’ve played us.

Not forgetting that Jimmy Greaves followed the lira too.
