Dr. Feelgood Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 It'd get my vote. Tjey only had to remember 'Clear & Obvious'. "Premier League clubs are to hold a vote at next month’s Annual General Meeting to discuss a proposal to scrap VAR from next season". Quote
gonzo Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Hope and pray they've got the bottle. Sweden have just fucked it off. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Get rid for me too. I wonder who the first manager would be to gob off about a "poor" decision by a linesman though? Quote

Underpants Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Never wanted it from day one. I said it would be shit and a passion killer and it has proven to be. I'm thinking the PL won't vote against it. The question seems to be yes or no. It's too black & white. I don't think they will get the numbers to carry it through. But like most things the PL do they totally ignore the fans. I reckon if the fans had a say the vast majority would fuck it off. Quote
kent_white Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I might start watching the Premier League again if they get rid of it. Quote
Duck Egg Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Clear penalty in the Utd game. Ref doesn't give it. VAR officials rather than suggest he has another look, back him instead. It's a feckin shambles. I've been glad we don't have it in the EFL but then we have it for the feckin divisional showpiece at the end of the season. Quote

Krimzon Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Somebody said to me we would have won the cup with VAR , maybe , who knows but I still wouldnt have it. Quote
Zico Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 imagine if it saves us in the injury time at the weekend or denies us Quote

Im happy with the swings and roundabouts , luck/bad luck evening itself out eventually. Quote
Stig Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 This decision somehow needs fan input. I can't see 14 clubs voting against VAR as there will be enough of the big clubs who believe VAR will help them over the course of the season. But it's ruining football as a spectator and needs scrapping Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 United won’t be voting against it, that’s for sure! Quote
gaztruman Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 If they rewrite the rules of when they use VAR i'd vote to keep it. Simply use it to avoid 'clear and obvious' mistakes. Quote

Sweep Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I hope they do get rid of it, I was at an Arsenal v Brighton game a few years ago, and it took them about 5 minutes to disallow an Arsenal goal. Quote

Was at Luton this season when they used it for a penalty shout for them. Felt like five minutes but could have been two Think we got lucky with no penalty as well Quote
