I’ve no interest for UK Friendlies, but overseas Friendlies I do like, been to many and yes games are crap but the crack is superb, best trip was Malta in Sam’s day, that was off the scale, played a round robin tournament which we won, all Bolton fans (about 50 of us) organisers even put coach on for us and invited us to the presentation in posh 5 star hotel, later that evening and about 20 of us bumped into the whole squad in a night club. Pedersen ended up with us until the early hours. Belting trip.

Sounds great!

Owen Coyle said hello to me at Radcliffe Boro once. That's all I've got 😀

Aidan Davison in goal at Horwich RMI back in the Grundy Hill days

You could get a pint in the bar and take it to wherever you were in the ground

We are behind the goal leaning on a barrier and I shouted "Aidan, want a sip of my pint?" Thinking he would ignore it or say no

Says yeah then necked half of it

Yep I did Denmark, was great trip despite getting spanked and having hardly any decent players.

When he was with us I for some reason had this assumption that he was a quiet kind of shy bloke, based on nothing like, but since hearing podcasts and reading that Rioch book it turns out he was a bit of a lunatic!

am sure I heard of a story once of some of the team on a night out in Bolton, which resulted in him throwing a bar stool through a window

Matt Glennon was another not right

Think we got shut after he hit a woman outside Atlantis nightclub

Plays for Hull and in the local pub knew a woman who worked in a strip club there

She says he is her favourite customer as she showers with cash for private dances etc

But got very jealous if another bloke paid her for a dance

Moves to Huddersfield and lives in a village on the outskirts, where my mate lives. Kids went to the same school so he would see him on the drop off, says up close you can see loads of scars on Glennon's face from the kickings he's had

Apparently one night Glennon is in the pub, goes for a piss and gets a good kicking
