That was said by a few of us last couple of games and yes its normally the case with us. But scoring first then retreating and inviting pressure tends to get punished. Not turning up in the 1st half then having a great 2nd half (Shrewsbury/Blackpool) suggests we don't always have to score first. I don't have a clue if we'll win, lose or draw and I'll probably be no nearer knowing at H-T, if anyone's losing I'd expect them to equalise. Quote
Hoppy Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Clough is constantly working well at lower levels of football like league 1 Mansfield are in the 3rd round of the cup and ,3 points behind us with a game in hand so comparable to IE Quote

I wonder if you're thinking of the other Bowyer? (Lee?). Gary Bowyer very mild mannered, son of Ian won European Cup with Forest. Quote

It honestly amazes me how little time they've had outside the top 2 divisions. Quote

Clough always gives me the impression its just a job, rather than him being in love with the game like a Warnock. He's never moved more than about 40 mile radius of Nottingham, only ever worked at Burton, Derby, Sheff U and Mansfield, I bet he doesn't even apply for jobs further afield. He's 8th in the list of all time managers listed in order of games managed (UK based), now above his Dad. (Fergie's top and Warnock 2nd). Quote

Yeah he got all 3 promoted He's a proper journey man manager no doubt Managed in every division It took him 26 years and 10 clubs before he got to the pl After that he had another 10 clubs championship and above Quote

waffer cup 07 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Sick all this negativty. Were 8th in the league, with a game in hand on some. We could move into a play off place on Tuesday. Don't think i'm happy about the season so far, we should be playing better, being more consistent, higher up the league, but to read this forum, you would think we were in the bottom three. Quote

Much like people who want Evatt out are going to have to get used to the fact he's staying, I think you might have to get used to the fact us being a certain number of points away from the play-offs isn't going to encourage people who lack faith in Evatt The reason for this is because I think that for many, their biggest doubt about Evatt from previous seasons remains, and that's our ability to win on the big occasion Quote
