Blimey. You're in your early 20's?!

I wish 😀

Wasn't the Walsall game including extra time, therefore not 7 goals in one half?

Anyway I'm not including cups since folk started including scoring 14 or whatever against Man U U15s.

Who was that smallish ineffective bloke who scored one, assisted one, and played Cogley in for his assist?

Didn't notice live Sheehan's reaction when Toal leaves the ball for their second. Proper "Oh, fuck me!" moment.

And, taking nothing away from Geth's contribution, but the weight on that ball from Morley for the winner was perfect.

I haven't enjoyed a half of football that much for fucking ages.

Yeah let’s buy every player that has a decent game against us in the summer. The reason these players are in league one is that they’re inconsistent. Don’t make silly calls based on once in  blue moon situations

Bloody hell mate, if we did that,  we'd have a squad of about 100 😀.

FWIW, I wasn't suggesting we sign their forward line, just that a bit of pace and power up front wouldn't go amiss.

I just think it's an option we lack 👍

Schon is a decent winger, based on what ? What have you seen from him that shows he's a decent winger? . Show me any footage of him this season , running past anyone. Tutu is twice the player he is.

Pretty sure today’s the first time we’ve seen him play as a winger so to decide he’s “very decent” seems a bit punchy.

There have been games where he’s shown he’s got something but I’m really not sold on him personally. Not written him off and hopefully a run of games as an actual winger will mean he can show what he’s actually capable of, but for me so far he’s just a bit ‘meh’.

The problem with Schon was being on the right got a few decent positions but no right foot.

Inverting the wingers suited Tutu more than it did Schon for me. First half, Schon going inside did allow spaces for JDC to run into, less so second half as they told their no9 to effectively play left wing back to nullify it. Schon's better on his natural side, not sure Tutu is though, tricky one for SS to weigh up

What suited Tutu is that he's fast , skillful and got the ability to beat a man.

Schon never goes on the outside, even when he's playing on the left because he's not got the pace or body strength to beat anyone so he ALWAYS comes inside. Always. He's equally as shit on either side.

Bit of an enigma, really. Tutu seems genuinely comfortable cutting inside or outside the full back which makes his a great weapon going forward, but you know Schon has to cut inside every time. Would have made sense to have switched them, but I don’t think Tutu has been anywhere near as effective on the right for whatever reason.

Wouldn’t say either of them are natural wingers if we’re being honest, particularly in a 4-5-1, but Tutu can do a good impression of it, at least.

The goals conceded this season is a massive worry on top of that against a half decent team we are not scoring 4 .
Summer  clean out

IMO he's the worst player in the squad. He's rubbish. He was a bad wingback but he's a worse attacking midfielder. Not once today did he put a decent cross in, beat a man, get a shot of. He can't kick with his right foot so comes inside all the time. Full back figured him out after 10 minutes. Wank.

If he's going to play he has to play left wing.  Ridiculous to have him on the right, may as well play with his feet tied together.  On the left he's had some half decent games and put in some decent crosses/assists.

But whilst I've seen worse players (Williams for eg), how is IE paying £750k for him?  So roughly £3.5mil on him, Vic, Randall and McAtee.  Thanks for all your efforts.

Not playing on his wrong foot, IMO.  Very different for Tutu, because he doesn't need a trick to beat a man, he bursts pass him with pace and strength and so has more time to pick a pass, with Schon everything is done in a milisecond of time because he can't get away from his man and has absolutely no right foot.

IE was inept for the last 18 months of his time here, but the signings are all not down to him

Markham is still here no wonder Schumacher went with what he had

Put another way, when the Turks buy Vic for £1mil in the summer, and we spend £250k on Hepburn Murphy, we won't be weakening the forward line and we'll have plenty left to sign a bastard.

Well chuffed and he seems a really genuine bloke who knows how the game can ebb and flow and how to change things in-game to keep the opposition guessing.. I think we had at least 3 formation changes and we always looked as though we could get something out of it. It was the most entertaining/exciting game I’ve seen for 12 months.

There are similarities with Rioch in how he kept adjusting and going for it, even when all looked lost at 3-1 down. I don’t think we’d have got anything out of that under Evatt.

He does sound a bit like Holly Johnson though 🤣

That's where Markham ought to have been asked into to sit in front of the owners as well as Evatt. Unless it was just Evatt saying 'I want him, get him for me' and Markham just did the deals, he has a lot to answer for but no doubt kept his head down and his office door shut the other week.

Aside from the money chucked at those four, plus Nlundulu, the last few loan windows have been underwhelming. Bradley and Trafford were hard acts to follow but, apart from Maghoma, the level and impact has been fairly limited. We're down to loaning in big lumps who haven't been playing for a bottom six Champ side

You’re being too kind, he’s absolutely dreadful. Probably the most entertaining home game all season though, Tutu, Sheehan and Morley all superb. Onwards and upwards.

Ha ha 😀  For clarification, that sending off today was absolutely earned by us (Tutu) being better than their full backs - their only choice was to haul him down and get deserved yellows.  That contributed to us deservedly winning the game, eventually.

The sendings off under IE weren't earned by us, they were just bizarre acts of indiscipline by the opposition.  Big difference between earning "luck" and being handed luck, same as today's OG being fully earned.

That 2nd half is what football should be like more often!  Except for the blatant cheating of course.

We deservedly won a game. 👍🏻

Schon is a decent player imo.

I honestly can’t see how people can think he’s a good player.

Barely assists, can’t score, no right foot, weak, no pace, can’t tackle. He’s been an utterly terrible signing. All he did today was repeatedly make poor runs and lose the ball, we improved immensely today as soon as he went off.

I’d be amazed if he starts another 5 games for us in his career never mind this season.

To be fair he's been played out of position since he got here. I can see a decent player in him, like with Randall but he's not fired either.
