I agree, it was a very odd mid-Match reincarnation. How bad must we have been when he was the only shining light in the team!! TBF a great last 30mins! Quote

That's why he's in League One. The more football I've witnessed over the years, the more convinced I've become that the vast majority of Pro footballers obviously have natural talent/skill, but it's their consistency that dictates what level they reach. If we're up against it a bit he'll have to receive the ball back to goal more, with a full backs clattering into him, as Gooch was last night (and getting away with a few fouls). Gradually, as the game turned, they tired and retreated, he could face goal more and run at him Quote

One of ours misplaces a pass or lose a 50/50 he's fucking shit. But in reality it's just the 3rd tier of football. Quote
Popular Post marple whites Posted October 17 Popular Post Posted October 17 I have got more bruises than a dropped Apple after those celebrations - absolutely unreal scenes and why we travel all over the country. Sometimes you do question your sanity and what else you could spend all that money on, but nothing, nothing, compares to moments like that. that could be the turning point of the season. Quote

Yet the majority of our squad are just that, if you were to believe the comments on here. Quote

You could say that about his entire Bolton career tbh. Useless when trying to play within any sort of structure, but get a bit of broken play and he’ll somehow come up with something. He was born for sitting on the bench tbh. 1 hour ago, Cheese said: You were posting on here slagging the team off during the game - and YOU WERE ACTUALLY THERE? Jesus fucking Christ. 🤦♂️ I post on here while at the game quite often tbh, easy enough given how many breaks in play we have these days Quote

I can't remember scenes like that for a long time! It was such a perfect goal for that moment, time slowed down, the keeper gets a hand on and then absolute carnage!!! Fuck VAR, that is what it is all about!! Quote

He was dog shit for 75 minutes Why do you think both their fullbacks tired ? The game is 90 minutes if they were knackered after 75 so we start exploiting the space that is down to us. Quote

What astonishes me is how not everyone of us gets the same level of buzz from a win like that. Most of us - intense. A few - yeah, but. I made up for your shortfall by somersaulting (oops, sorry, I meant rolling like a flubber ball around) the room yelling like a madman. I repeat, I thought we were excellent second half and bossed the game - something the commentators and post match pundits seemed to agree with. Astounds me that some can find negatives, especially after we've just had a painters radio moment. Good man Bolty. I think I woke up half of Baldivis when the second went in. Quote

Got to the byline a couple of times and ran their defender and dragged people towards him. Considering he should have been hooked at half-time, it was much better. Hes back from a long spell out so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he fill the gap Quote

My Leeds mate in Baldivis has WhatsApped me about it He was actually giving us congratulations. We have a mutual Udders fan friend in Alfred Cove who likes to dish it out. He's proving hard to find today! Leeds lad very happy with both the result and the manner of it. Leeds lad loves to wind him up every year when the Leeds season tickets posters go up in Huddersfield railway station. Quote

Tombwfc Posted October 17 Posted October 17 The kind of 'that's why he's in L1, if he could do it every week he'd be playing in a higher division' sentiment gets said a lot and I'm not sure it's really true. It's absolutely possible for a L1 footballer to play consistently well in L1. At the end of the season two teams will finish with 90+ points and get promoted - their players will have been consistently good throughout the season, not just once every 5 games. Quote
