Traf Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 I think this is one of those occasions where just an emoticon would have sufficed but; rules are rules! What rules, Micky? Ones you've made up?
Horwich Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7668854.stm game being played 200 miles away
jayjayoghani Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 What rules, Micky?Ones you've made up? Carlos had a whinge once about people continuously posting smileys alone as replies. I could see his point FWIW.

I reckon they'll play in either La Coruna, Bilbao, Santander or Seville. I can't see them going to Barcelona. Edited October 14, 2008 by Traf
Traf Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Carlos had a whinge once about people continuously posting smileys alone as replies. I could see his point FWIW. Carlos made a point once as you pointed out: this doesn't constitute the formation of a rule. Many people make posts on here consisting purely of emoticons and we don't bat an eyelid. At the time Carlos mentioned it, quite a few people's only contribution to the forum was the posting of a few smiley's. That is what he was getting at: he wasn't aiming at regulars who contribute well. Micky's already aware of this, it has been dealt with. I think it's time certain people on here got off the backs of the admin team: it seems almost fashionable to have a pop at us and Carlos in particular. PS Regarding Smiley's: don't you all think the one Smiley we do have is quite enough?
Ani Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7668854.stm game being played 200 miles away how pissed are people who have already booked flights going to be ? can see a minutes silence for those who have lost out.

Carlos Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) Carlos had a whinge once about people continuously posting smileys alone as replies. I could see his point FWIW. For the record, I directed that towards one person, not people plural. And I took a load of abuse via PM for it, but you don't see that side of it. Edited October 14, 2008 by Carlos
Smiffs Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Why are the club being punished? Its the pigs fault.
Carlos Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 how pissed are people who have already booked flights going to be ? can see a minutes silence for those who have lost out. That was my thought, it says 200 miles min so all the transport in that direction from Madrid will be full of Atletico fans. Recipe for disaster.
Burndens Bogs Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 The game is next week, and they don't even know where it's being played?-. What a joke At least no-one will have to come face to face with the Madrid police, and let's face it - they're the real problem.
MickyD Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Is it Madrid police or Spanish police generally? Even the ones prowling around Benidorm looked as though they'd hit you just to avoid talking to you!
Widnes Two Hats Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Its the pigs fault. I've been on the blower and had a word with Sir Francis Drake He reckons we should start building ships and set sail for Spain asap I tend to agree with him, prepare the boats men
Carlos Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Didn't the Seville police lay into Spurs fans not too long ago? Isn't it a Spanish rather than Madrid specific problem?
Rembrandt Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Are there the same violence problems at the Bernabeu ? If not, why not ? UEFA could have made this decision in the summer, given what happened to fans of BWFC & other clubs previously at the Vicente Calderon. But that would have been too logical for UEFA (or FIFA or our own dear FA). What does it matter if visiting fans have already booked flights & accommodation ? Who cares about them in UEFA ?
Sweep Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Didn't the Seville police lay into Spurs fans not too long ago? Isn't it a Spanish rather than Madrid specific problem? Aye, Seville police battered the Spurs fans senseless, a week before we played in Madrid wasn't it? - anyway, I think it more of a "Spanish" policing issue than a "Madrid" one. As mentioned above, it's joke they still haven't been told where they are going to play yet, and it's only next week. It'll be chaos, as no doubt all the scousers will be flying into Madrid as originally planned, and then stealing cars and getting trains etc to the chosen destination

Traf Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 You have got to be kidding, christ on a bike, that is pathetic It's true: you wouldn't believe some of the shite we get sent privately.
Carlos Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) It's true: you wouldn't believe some of the shite we get sent privately. I can handle that, it's when regular posters stick the knife in that I get pissed off. That and when people tell us how we should be running things. Edited October 14, 2008 by Carlos
Smiffs Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Having listened to the wireless and skimmed the net, all I can see or hear are whining scousers. I have gone from sympathetic to 'f?ck em its funny'.

no balls Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Now, I might be ridiculed for this BUT I have read this right? The police can willy nilly attack folk regualarly, as we know it didn't just happen to us, and not alot gets done, but the main reason for the ground move is the racism. I'm obviously not advocating racism, but I'd sooner those police shouted, "oi, you fat bint" in my direction than got their big sticks out on me. Sticks and stones as mother used to say!
