Spider Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) Fernando Hierro made his wife and kids live in a seperate part of the house they had. He said he liked his own space FACT Edited January 7, 2009 by Spider
magic legs Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I can't see a player who played in a World Cup Final for Brazil and is only 31 not being good enough for Bolton if he gets himself fit. Roque Junior played in a World Cup final for Brazil didn't he?
little whitt Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Fernando Hierro made his wife and kids live in a seperate part of the house they had. He said he liked his own space FACT SO DO I
HomerJay Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 denilson was at training ground most of the day looking round the facilities with his 'advisors' and various members of staff. never kicked a ball though.
Traf Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 never kicked a ball though. He'll fit into our midfield no problem then!
jules_darby Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Will be too cowd for him. Brazilians dont tend to do well in the UK. Get a couple of good dirty Argies I say, together with long hair and 3 days stubble. Not convinced with Denilson one bit. But There seems to be loads of Brazilians plying their trade in Russia and the Ukraine fro some reason...can't be the arctic temperature to put them off then
magic legs Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 YesA World Cup winner and then a Champions League winner with AC Milan.Surely you aren't suggesting he just got lucky and isn't as good as Andy O'Brien really. All I know is he was crap at Leeds and that there are plenty of players around who look decent in the big tournaments but cant hack it in the Premier League.
whiteboy Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 hierro - that pass at birmingham wasn't bad was it
mickbrown Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 What's the problem? He's on trial - if he's up to it great, if not he fecks off home no harm done.
Happy Wanderer Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I was in the hotel bar at lunch time and spotted Denilson with his minders, he looked a bit over weight to me so not sure how the trails will go.
Tombwfc Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 YesA World Cup winner and then a Champions League winner with AC Milan.Surely you aren't suggesting he just got lucky and isn't as good as Andy O'Brien really. He's not, and never was. Not in this league anyway.
YATESY Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Could be set to sign a deal this week: HUNT IMPRESSED WITH DENILSON Bolton defender Nicky Hunt admits he has been impressed with Denilson during his trial at the club. Denilson started training at Bolton last week and is expected to sign a deal before the weekend, and Hunt admitted the Wanderers players couldn't believe a guy with the quality of the Brazilian was on trial with the club. "When we heard he was coming to train with us, it was like, which Denilson? The real one?" Hunt said. "We thought he was coming in with the Nike boys to film an advert! "It was a little unexpected. Andy O'Brien said he had a trial at Portsmouth a few years ago but wasn't in peak physical condition then. "Now he looks trim and sharp - it's amazing to have a player of his calibre with us training."

Denilson started training at Bolton last week and is expected to sign a deal before the weekend, he admitted the Wanderers players aren't of the quality he is used to playing with, he also couldn't believe a guy with the quality of Nicky Hunt was with the club. "When I heard I was coming to train with the likes of Nicky Hunt, Tamir Cohen and Ricardo Vaz T? I was ever so excited. "It was a little unexpected. I had a trial at Portsmouth, a few years ago, so I already know Andy O'Brien but he wasn't in peak physical condition then. "Now he looks trim and sharp - it's amazing to be training with a player of his calibre."

cbwfcd Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Former Brazil international Denilson should tie up a deal with Bolton on Wednesday, says his brother. "They even gave him the key of the closet at the training ground," he said. (Gazetaesportiva.net, 0745 GMT) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/g...ers/7827814.stm Is he the new cleaner?
Guest Blixa Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 He doesn't know it yet, but that's where he'll be living.
LeggyMountbatten Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 The old "subscribe to the BWFC text service to be the first to hear transfer news" message appeared on the official site yesterday so I'm expecting a signing soon.

A classic example of lost in translation. The version I read had the more realistic meaning of what was said: "I am optimistic - they gave him the key to a locker at the training centre."
