I know they were just an excuse to show a bit of fanny but how they passed as comedy even back then is unbelievable. Are they similar to the 'Confessions' films with Robin Askwith? Mantra
Watched a Disney animation recently with the Mrs called Soul. Not as iconic as something like Shrek but in terms of the “message” of the film, quite grown up. Similar message to into the wild or American beauty. Solid 7.5/
deane koontz
The Hateful Eight turned it off part way through, horse shit.
Youri McAnespie
I agree, it was poo. Kurt Russell channeling shitbag John Wayne. Michael Madsen is rubbish, apart from his fluke Mr. Blonde. Yeah, overlong biz. Don't Breathe - mediocre 5/

Mannyroader
The Good Liar with Ian McKellan and Helen Mirren. It’s only shit by Tarantinos standard but the bar is so high otherwise it’s a great film And death proof is a fuckin brilliant grind house B movie fit birds, a killer, great car chases What more do you want you buncha queers Ill back QT to the hill, I’d rather watch death proof than any dog wank Christopher Nolan has spaffed half a billion on Yeah it might look great Chris but what the fuck is going on
Youri McAnespie
As I've got older I've realised QT is a bit covers band-y. Hateful Eight is just above the piss-poor Kill Bill films, and Death-Proof. They're a rarity (Kill Bill's) in that I've turned them off... And this is from someone who's sat through 'Dead Man's Shoes' in its entirety.

Members DazBob
The Kill Bill films are ace. As is Death Proof. Sometimes you just have to enjoy a film for what it is without comparing to what you expected it to be.

Youri McAnespie
The Old Man and The Gun. Robert Redford's swansong... Meh 7/10. He's not brown bread he retired. Don't give this chump a statue, give him guts... I can only recall; Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Castle, sommat where he plays a frontiersman and The Sting... In Stephen Fry's frankly shite autobiography, where he romances cocaine, he details how he met a collaborator of Redford's and asked what he was like... The bloke questioned said "what would you be like if no-one had said 'no' to you for fifty years?"

Youri McAnespie
Kim Basinger's in it? I missed that. Y'mean Darryl Hannah? I'm not much of a fan of actual martial art films, so some knowing pastiche/homage even less so...
