Whites man Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 We'll be getting the tail end of a hurricane next week according to the papers That will be the Express, always predicting the worse winter ever on it's front page when not running a Diana story. Quote
Guest Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Anyway, the sun is out for one last final flourish Quote
Big City Girl Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Heating on for the first time this morning, now I've got all the windows open Quote
Carlos Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I've just insulated the hall, in preparation for winter. Fucking grim, 80s style loft insulation fibres, dust, insect detritus, mortar crumbs and sawdust. Then it's fucking tropical outside! Quote
Sweep Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 It's dry in the shires......but it's asolutely freezing! Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Time for a flight methinks. British winter makes my heart sink. Quote

gonzo Posted October 10, 2015 Author Posted October 10, 2015 El Niño is going to be the strongest it's ever been over the next couple of months apparently. See all this caper really does bust my chops in. It apparently halts global warming for a couple of years. This surely does cast some doubt over the old man made climate change malarkey. It's going to cause colder summers for the next couple of years in the northern hemisphere and the south may aswell join the Syrians and head this way. Gonna be a bit choppy round the pacific. In other news I saw geese fucking off on Saturday. I was very nearly close to tears. Keep an eye out for any erratic looking squirrels or ants heading in a straight line rather than a meander. I reckon we are going to have a big white out this winter. We are long over due. Erm....excuse me. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 You didn't post photos with your report, Quote

gonzo Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Siberian geese have just landed on these shores for their summer holidays apparently. Extremely early for them and a sure fire sign of a long harsh winter! Saw a bunch of the soft arse variety legging it south to Portugal this morning. Again pretty early for them. Quote

no balls Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) I thought on this morning and put the heating on timer. I don't mind the cold when you know you'll get home to a toasty house. It's 80 odd where I'm going this weekend though Edited October 15, 2015 by no balls Quote

gonzo Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Will they reach Bolton, and London? I reckon they've come in from the west and are heading up north up the coastline to Scotland. Loads migrate up there to breed in the winter. Quote
