no balls Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 It may be foolish to cross statistical swords with you Malc but didn't Allardyce get the 10yr contract after being in the job some time & after getting us promoted? I think Malcolm is correct. Didn't Allardyce only ever have one contract with us which was the 10 year one? Quote
Whites man Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I think we all knew you would come running to Malc's defence Quote
no balls Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I think we all knew you would come running to Malc's defence Is that your way of saying you've checked and he's right? Quote
MalcolmW Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I think we all knew you would come running to Malc's defence I think NB is correct to say I was correct. Quote
pato Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 no he got the contract when Wolves were sniffing round Quote
Casino Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I didn't think the ten year one was his first one First I heard of it, I was in the golden cup when we were at blackburn Quote
only1swanny Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 My brain is fuzzy but I'm sure he signed the ten year one that would take him to 55/57 and them he planned on retiring. Quote

Casino Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 interesting "The length of contract will enable me to develop the youth structure which is an aspect of a club that many managers don't bother with because they don't expect to be there long enough. i wonder if he'd like to discuss this one the next time he is billy bullshitting over 'could've signed etoo, messi and ronaldo' Quote
no balls Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 interesting i wonder if he'd like to discuss this one the next time he is billy bullshitting over 'could've signed etoo, messi and ronaldo' Also, how about And he has hugely ambitious plans for Bolton Wanderers during the next decade which include masterminding the complete restructuring of the club from top to bottom. Because we all know for a fact (in capitals) that it was Garslime who refused to give him the money to mastermind it all, the cad! Quote
MalcolmW Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 My brain is fuzzy but I'm sure he signed the ten year one that would take him to 55/57 and them he planned on retiring. He signed on his 45th birthday and said he would retire at 55. Quote
Sweep Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 He signed on his 45th birthday and said he would retire at 55. Allardyce in being economical with the truth shocker Quote
Casino Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 anyway now some dust has settled apparently, it's ok to voice your displeasure at the end of the game but not during how does this work wait till they've gone back to their dressing room, man bags and fcuk off headphones or get em told obviously, i'm from outside football so don't know what i'm talking about i do know, that he chucked LCY in as our saviour at the back end of last year, when i had been told by somebody who does know football, cos he gets paid to know, that LCY was 'miles off' being fit best part of 6 months on, and presumably 6 months fitter, he can't get a game in a team currently looking at relegation to the third division just another gap in the logic of owen coyle we play 2 non scoring strikers i think we've scored one goal all season that wasn't from a corner or a free kick and even that was a bit of individual skill why not play 4-5-1 - it would give us the width he claimed to love it would allow us to play lee, eagles and mark davies, or preferably, lee, petrov and eagles it would give us the solidity we can all see is missing i could go on and on and on, but fcuk it, why should i still care Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 He signed on his 45th birthday and said he would retire at 55. http://www.thebolton...e_to_Wanderers/ I'll put it up again. This is dated December 29th 2000, 14 months after he was appointed. At that point, he was 46 and about to sign a 10-year contract. Quote
Whites man Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Malc's on the factual ropes on this one. Boom and some may go as far as critical head shot. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 we play 2 non scoring strikers Tom Eaves scored for Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon before riding a double at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening. Gretar Steinsson had a moment of clarity in Turkey, scoring the winner for Kayserispor against a team I can't be arsed to type. Paul Robinson didn't score for Birmingham but he did get booked. Ivan Klasnic has played just 15 minutes more than Reo Coker since the end of last season and hasn't scored either. Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 The most depressing thing about Saturday was that Danny Shittu played on the winning team & got mom.....................how low can we sink ?? Quote
Arrested development Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 The most depressing thing about Saturday was that Danny Shittu played on the winning team & got mom.....................how low can we sink ?? Not only shittu in this league. Heidar helguson. Scoring for fun whilst our strikers aren't. Quote
LodgeMorrWhite Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 The most depressing thing about Saturday was that Danny Shittu played on the winning team & got mom.....................how low can we sink ?? Theres still plenty time for us to sink lower yet. On the current table we have only played one of the top six teams; Crystal Palace, and that was at home, which of course we lost. Nope, I think its fair to say we can definately sink further! Quote
Traf Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Not only shittu in this league. Heidar helguson. Scoring for fun whilst our strikers aren't. Perhaps, just perhaps, they're better than some of our players? Quote
magic legs Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Tom Eaves scored for Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon before riding a double at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening. 572-1 treble for Eaves today. Quote
